yeah I have no doubt they all loved him as a person, but its pretty clear from their comments they had lost faith in his ability to put them in position to succeed.

If every subordinate in an organization had is own way you would have chaos.
Look at it this way. Let's assume all the assistant coaches have this free rein you seem to think is so wonderful. The OC decides that the first play will be a deep pass to the right. The line coach disagrees and he instructs the line to fire out zone blocking, while the running backs coach instructs his charges to run a jet sweep to the wide side, while the QB coach thinks that a boot leg to the short side is just dandy. The receivers coach goes into a snit because he really wants a bubble screen.
Sounds productive doesn't it? The job of a manager is to accept suggestions from subordinates and then do what he thinks is best for the situation.

Just playing devil's advocate here, but perhaps with the coaching changes the staff has a clear message that everyone is fighting for their job and they've taken that message to heart with their personnel decisions. The status quo wasn't working, so any areas that were having an issue seem to have gone back to the drawing board.
Granted, it is perfectly plausible that Miles micromanaged certain position groups and now that he's out of the way everyone can do as they see fit, but it could also be because most of the staff may be unemployed in 2 months.

I concur...I've never wanted Jimbo, and that was before this season. I guess Herman would be a good choice. But my wish is that O kicks arse this season and gives them no reasons to look any further.

He is still knighting despite the fact ousting les lead to LSU being liberated. I think at one point les did let his oc and DC call the shots. Then around 1/9/12 that changed.
I wanted to just leave les be since we fired him, but his criminal abuse of our talent pisses me off.

Possibly but even before his firing there had been rumors that he and Cameron essentially isolated themselves from the rest of the staff. Everything that has happened since points to this being true.
There were no tears shed for Cameron getting handed his walking papers amongst the staff and football admin

I manage a reasonably large organization. Within it, I have many experts under me. People who I hired for their expertise. Expertise in some areas where they are more expert and up to date than I am.
If you think I run around telling them how to solve the problems THEY were hired to solve, you're a fricking retard.
They have words for that type of management approach and NONE of those words are good.
