re: One thing from last year's team that you don't want to see from this year's team

Trailing at halftime every game

Stop waiting for the receivers to clear before throwing the ball. If JD starts throwing by trusting his receivers to clear, they can be dangerous. In before someone calls Captain Obvious!

need to use ST especially punt return game as a positive instead of just happy to field a punt clean like last yr, nearly zero effort or gameplan to return punts
watching the bama game the other night, there were 2 instances where the D made big stops keeping bama pinned deep....poor punts that if fielded, we're at or around the 50. both punts were terrible, but not fielded, and of course bama bounce adds another 15-25 yards.
definitely need to not only catch punts from preventing that, but also making them hurt and keeping the momentum when the D makes those stops.

1. The defense needs to get off the field on 3rd down.
2. Daniels needs to throw the ball downfield consistently.
If LSU can do those two things, they'll be tough to beat.

The shitty offensive playcalling

Honestly, solid Special Teams is my number 1.

Says somebody that likely can't even draw up a legal formation. The offensive play calling was a bright spot last year.

Last season was the worst and most frustrating special teams play I've seen from LSU in my lifetime. It would consistently put our offense and defense in a bind.
If it is just average this year, I will be happy. We absolutely had at least one more win last season with average ST play (FSU).

Better deep ball plays. We need to get the ball downfield to our playmakers.

I’ve won like 26 championships on NCAA 14

Putting the special in special teams

.I'd definitely like to see better tackling out of our defense. I saw a lot of poor efforts on waaay too many highlights from the Noles.
Obviously we don't want poor efforts but tackling is an issue at the beginning of the season at both the college and professional levels because tackling at practice is becoming harder and harder to replicate due to safety concerns.

On 3rd or 4th and less than a yard to gain, go under center.
