Lol. Yeah that’s what we are talking about.

7 points is 7 points dumbass. Regardless of how you get there. In fact, going slower can be more beneficial because it gives your defense time to rest while wearing theirs out more.

You just don’t know football at all.

Ok.

The fact that you posted this says way more about.

I never once said I preferred any one QB over another. I’m simply pointing out the stats. I’ve even acknowledged several times both QBs strengths and weaknesses. Even said I’d like to see more of Nuss.

But whatever, “mane”.

I have enough data on JD to know he is a bad passer downfield, that's when he actually can see the rec. Nuss has the tools. This is foolish. Maybe Nuss will fail when handed the keys, I can't predict the future and neither can you. I believe he is a tremendous talent and just needs playing time. JD is a great athlete. He isn't a good qb and LSU cannot win a championship without a downfield passing game. Especially with the talent our wr room has.

“You believe” being the key factor here.

I’ll stick with whatever BK “believes” is the better option regardless of who that is. He is, after all, the expert.

1.) Have you ever watched Nussmeier play football? He doesn't give a frick. Would have thrown probably 15 INTs given the reps that Daniels got. Daniels for whatever faults he has, takes care of the football. Plus Daniels elusiveness saved our assess on countless occasions
2.) I trust Kelly and the staff to make these decisions

Hey maybe Nuss and Daniels will battle it out in the Spring and Nuss will take a big step forward and take the job. Or maybe Daniels with a full offseason will take a huge leap forward and improve his downfield vision and passing. I'm just not ready to crown Nuss or re-write the history of this team because he made some nice throws in mop-up duty

Bk has had issues in the past at ND with clinging to mobile QBs that don't pass well and has been exposed in playoffs.

Daniels is going into year 5. Come on man. At this point he is what he is. He got away with his athleticism his entire career but if you don't learn the actual position it will eventually catch up with you.

Nuss will have growing pains but the upside is huge...he will make less bad plays over time. I'd love to see him the entire game against Purdue...he has the greatest chance to improve between the two simply due to age. Btw, nuss would certainly have more ints than what Daniels had, but so would Daniels if he actually pushed the ball down field.

Do you believe a QB like nuss opens up the running game more? Just curious what a real football expert thinks.

I’m not sure where I stand on whether I personally want Daniels back or not, but there’s quite a few examples of QBs going from decent/good to great in Year5.

One in particular that we all know quite well.

So either the receivers did drop a lot of balls or Nuss is no more accurate than JD.

Yet we scored more points in the third quarter than in the first half.
A ten yard pass is usually easier to complete than a thirty yard pass.
More reward with the thirty yard completion though.
Does that make sense?

Pure nonsense. ASU was a mess. And to act like someone can't improve at the ripe old age of 21 is, again, nonsense. This will be his first full offseason at LSU with the same staff and roughly the same players. He busted his arse this offseason to improve his game in limited time. No reason he can't do that same this year.

Like having a point guard that scores 30 a game and 1-2 assists per game...

Well , they dumbed the offense down for Daniels . Next year they have two guys who can play the QB position ( not running backs ).

Welcome back Les Miles...

If that is his biggest attribute then we are in trouble.

How do you know what Boutte told Kelley ?
Gotta believe Boutte wants Nuss or WH . Why else would he come back ? He would just be wasting time .

It isn't his biggest attribute. But a turnover-prone QB would have buried this team's chances at accomplishing anything of note (see: winning the west) with the quickness. Why are people all of a sudden not understanding this? Just a weird collective derangement that has developed.

If I was a WR I’d be so fricking surprised that actually threw the ball I’d drop it too

It must be very difficult to constantly run routes , run open all over the field and not get the ball . When it is thrown , it is usually late . JD has to “ frame the shot “ . We have very athletic receivers . Time for JDcto move on .

Do you mean like a QB that set the LSU record for sacks with 43 drive killing sacks.

Getting sacked is better than throwing an INT At any rate, can you imagine how many times a less-mobile QB would have been sacked? God knows how many sacks we avoided due to Daniels' mobility

True but all the routes do seem to curl back to the qb for an easier pass instead of an actual running route. Its like Jd needs a receiver stopped and looking at him.

Unfortunately real football is not XBOX and mobile QBs are always sacked more than QBs who get the ball out on time as was proven again this year with Daniels. The Oline graded out in the top 5-8 nationally in most metrics, including pressures allowed, yet was in the 120s in sacks allowed. That’s a QB problem not an Oline problem.
