Since the ball is in the qb hands the most I'd go with Jamarcus. Even though we have proven to win with below average qb play.

Option B: Pat Peterson
Option C: Dorsey
Option D: Mathieu he's the most dominant defensive play maker ever at LSU
Option E: Josh Reed
Honorable mention: Hester, Rohan, kelvin Shep, Kevin Minter

Not even close for me, Peterson.

Definitely going with Hester. Best team player that isn't Tebow I've ever seen.
With that criteria, Rohan Davey would be in the mix (not from the Miles era, so pointless for this thread, Rohan just deserves props whenever possible).

Russell or Flynn. Qb is the most important position.

How can all of you even compare Jamarcus Russell to Patrick Peterson? Jamarcus Russell had a crap personality and had exactly zero leadership ability. If you can start a team with one player from the Miles era, it would be Russell? Are you kidding me? If you are choosing one player from an entire era, it's got to be a player that has good morals, good charisma, good personality, good leadership ability, and was dominant on the field. Patrick Peterson is one of the only names suitable for all of that.

There is only one answer and it is:

Jamarcus Russell

The QB is the most pivotal player on the team. He handles the ball on every play. Jamarcus was stellar most of his career here and was the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.

"Without question, Patrick Peterson.'

This is where I start, as well. Unbelievable combination of talent and competitiveness, and a team player.

I understand the love for Hester and I would love to have him on my team, too, but PP7 is essentially Hester but with an other-worldly set of measurables.

Technically Whitworth played under Miles right? I'll take a LT with my first pick.

Why would you take a LT with your first pick?

Because LT is one of the top 3 most important positions.

Hint, CB and RB are not.

You are operating under NFL tendacies. The NFL is a business. One of the keys to business is protecting your investments (hint - QB's are the major investments for an NFL franchise). Of course LT's will be a priority in the NFL. The college game is alot different. A LT isn't nearly as important to a team like LSU as it is to a team like WVU or USC. I'll take the greatest DB in LSU history that also has the personality to be an ambassador for the program over a plug in LT.

I'm taking Russel and going on to win a championship. He can drink whatever he wants because I don't really care what he does off the field.
