He just stated a fact dumbass.
Here's a fact dipshit. Comparing D2 and D1 are like saying HS JV and Varsity are the same thing. It's a different game entirely. The facts are Kelly had every advantage on the planet at Notre Dame and couldn't put it together. To say Kelly is the best HC at LSU since Saban without anything to back it up is a ludicrous statement.

We're a long way from there if you measure the worth of a coach by results.

That sounds good, but how do we know this?
This team didn’t look very tough or particularly well prepared at any point in the season. It actually looks like we have regressed from O and Miles in certain areas
I don’t dislike Kelly, and think he can build a good program. I still think he was a great hire. But I don’t necessarily feel this program is in any better position than it was 2-3 years ago. I think this next season is the fair shot any coach deserves to start proving himself, but I don’t think I’m out of line thinking that we could easily lose 3+ games again.

He will replace House and hire a good replacement when the time is right.
Not in an emotional snit mid game, but on his timetable, AFTER winning a tenth game, and not disrupting the recruitment of a damn strong class.
He is a serious man who is building a team built to last, and he is the best coach LSU football has employed since Nick Saban.
He said as much in his presser.

It’s a high enough bar when the two in between Saban and Kelly won natties.

The time is right now. I get the merit of having patience and being measured. But there is a window in which elite coordinators are available (for the amount of money they are actually worth) and we're very rapidly nearing the end of that window.

One had several wins stripped and we said for years there should have been multiple titles won by him from those great classes. As a HC, he was below average in time management, position coaching / coordinator knowledge, and we now know a scum bag.
The other one took all that talent, allowed Aranda to run a great defense and hire Bill Busch from their MANY times together who recruited Burrow and we know the rest such as terrible back to back seasons, women and their kids at practice and picking his nose to burning the program down.

What coach does?
Do some of you people actually think coaches not only read this stuff but care about your opinion in any way, shape, or form?
Wow.

Kelly has won two D2 championships.

D2 apparently is his limit.
