bullshite. He was in the right place at the right time to clap his hands. That 2019 team would have been undefeated NC with the HC position vacant and Aranda and Ensminger running their sides of the ball. 2020 and 2021 proved that.
Your take here is as shite as your take on the Schnall ejection.

He was great, then he sucked. It's pretty simple.
He was never a decent head coach. He was great at taking over a complicated, well-organized program that was running smoothly and adding some pizzazz. He struck gold with Burrow, and Ensminger struck gold with Brady. Miles left him with a talent overload and with Aranda to mastermind the defense.
Before his lack of management skills allowed the program to disintegrate, this confluence of luck and Orgeron energy resulted in a team for the ages. But then the inevitable happened. His inability to handle success and the pandemic hastened the fall, but it would have happened anyway. He simply was not a manager.

Who recruited or hired those you mentioned?
O also hired Pellini, which was a disaster.

Revisionist history. He was forced to keep Aranda after he knifed Les in the back, in fact, weren’t a lot of the coaches hired by Les?
Grateful for 2019, he certainly gets some of the credit, but if you look at his record through multiple stops, he was much better in a interim role taking over a program rather than building or sustaining one.

2 things can be true: O pushed all the right buttons for the 2019 team AND He proved he couldn’t sustain it after the fact.
He just couldn’t hire a good coordinator to save his life.

Two things can be true at the same time.
2019 doesn’t happen without O, and the program isn’t in shambles in 2021 without O. They’re not mutually exclusive.
We can, and will, always cherish O for what he gave the program with that magical season. But we can also recognize that success didn’t suit him and he tanked the program, setting us back years, and we may just now be recovering.
Thank you Coach O, but also, frick you!

That 2019 team would have won with any coach.

If he takes another job, he’ll be working for his ex-wife until he pays her the $8 million.

Are you saying Les shouldn’t have been fired?
If that pussy Aleva would’ve had some balls and fired Les the year before O wouldn’t have “stabbed him in the back”!

We are all very grateful for what he did, we can also point out that he quit working after winning the championship

Agreed on the firing, but then maybe Alleva would have exerted a little effort to find a longer term solution than buying into tBinder.
(although this could well be a false premise, the man is an idiot)

I agree. Coach O was hungry when he got the job and was driven to prove people wrong about him being selected the head coach at LSU and his previous job at Ole Miss. He built something in a short amount of time and he knew what he wanted(a Sean Payton type offense) and it started when he got the job but started to show very vividly during the 2018 season. He knew what he had in 2019 and we all saw it and then the whole USA witnessed it. Glad we got see the GOAT 2019 LSU Tigers. Unfortunately Coach O could not handle the INSTANT Glory and fame in his professional and personal life. It happens more than you think and not just to Coach O. I don’t think he would deny that either if you asked him. I don’t hate anything about Coach O glad he was here and glad when he got fired. It’s life.

No it wasnt. Ed has ALWAYS been a drunk and a pussy chaser, always.
The people around him that were actually doing the work changed. ED O has been remarkably consistent all his life.

Orgeron Sycophant Dribble. 2019 was all Brady-Ensminger, Burrow, Aranda, Busch (Got Burrow out of Ohio and into LSU) and Chase.
So now, the head coach gets no credit because you don’t like him? I see how small brains work. It’s the HCs fault when it goes bad but not when it goes good. Typical LSU “fan”.

O's always been a douche but as a fellow man I feel bad for him, he's just been put in a huge financial hole he'll never be able to dig himself out of, interest clock started as soon as the judge ruled in his ex's favor, unless some booster with a sentimental and philanthropic nature comes out of the woodworks and bails him out he'll be an indentured servant for the rest of his life
ETA: don't necessarily feel bad for O, but the predicament that the court has put him in, just from what I've read it seems surprising that the lower judge would have ruled in his favor in the first place
