Most heartbreaking L I’ve seen in person.

And yet even I agree the only right answer is 1/9/12. That one was so terrible that OP missed the glaringly obvious because like myself and many others he obviously wiped it clean of his memory.

2004 Cap One bowl was really tough for me. Ironically Kirby Smart was the DB coach and we blew coverage.

2012 vs Bama was by far the worst loss though.

The fact the game was close set LSU up for trouble that evening. Tigers were about a 3 TD favorite over an average Tenn. team

2012 bama loss was crushing loss. Les never recovered.

Also not an lsu loss but Oklahoma st losing on that Friday night to Iowa st. Imagine not having to play alabama again and we would talk about 2011 the way we talk about 2019.

If we win 1/9/12, does Les still have the same burnout like he did? Does 2019 still happen?

The answer of what if’s could be the 2006 Auburn game. You finish 11-1 and could avenge an earlier loss to Florida in SEC championship.

The game, the season, the championship, the chance to wrestle back control of the West was ALL there with a QB and WR who were absolutely on fire...and Les coward.

I can't upvote this enough.

Is the correct answer for all the reasons already listed. The natty wasn't heartbreaking. We flat out got our asses kicked the 2nd half of that game and every LSU fan knew it was over beginning of the 4th quarter.

We had the 2012 Bama game in TS until the final minute. fricking Yeldon.

Tennessee in 1959 would have also resulted in a national championship.

For me it’s 2018 A&M 7 OT game That game was historic and was a wild fun ball game

That game ultimately meant nothing for LSU. They still went to the same bowl game they would have went to had they won. The A&M lost last year hurt LSU more. They would have played in a NY6 bowl had they won.

The correct answer is the Yeldon screen game. LSU avenges the 1/9/12 game and then wins the National championship in 2012 with that win.

What sucks is the NCAA would have vacated that 2012 Bama game and the BCS championship if LSU would have won

That wasn't heartbreaking, it was an arse-kicking.

1/9/2012 was a horrible evening on so many levels. That 2011 season as a student was pure magic, went to every away game except WVU I believe. To have it end with a wet fart was tragic to me at the time.

Losing to Bama again in 2012 in Tiger Stadium was just as brutal. Electric crowd that night, probably the best of my time there!

Chavis was way too aggressive blitzing with less than two minutes left

For personal reasons = NYD 2018 citrus bowl. Watched that in the hospital with my dad. Would be the last game we ever watched together as he passed away 3 weeks later.

Otherwise, not sure I'd have back any others. You never know if 2019 happens with the obvious ones that still burn.
