Once again the "problem" of leaving early

Came up on the Coach O show.
If you do not intend to stay at least until there is 5:00 minutes left in the game give your tickets to some organization or someone who appreciates our young men, on the field. frick what other people from other Schools do.
I know I will hear the usual stupid comments but why spend the time and money when someone who really cares to enjoy the experience can do so.

Fresh, new insight. Nice.

I know I'm in the minority but if you pay for your own ticket, its your business what you do with it and when you leave.

Meh, I'm usually using tickets that would not otherwise be used at all.

Just recycle the tickets. Think of the new people reusing the seats for the second half as the second string fans.

It's their money shut the frick up.

Once again. And again. And again.

Why do you concern yourself with what others do?
Someone leaves early, it doesn't lessen my experience. Was in the student section when Brandon Harris almost led a comeback against State. Half of Tiger Stadium left, and it was still loud as shite on States last offensive drive before we got the ball back one more time.

Are you surprised? You post is itself usual and stupid.

If those other people cared, then they would have spent the money. Why do you care how others spend their money?

Agree 100%. No doubt.
And yet, I don't behave this way even if I don;t really feel up to staying or the team is playing poorly or uninspired, etc. For me...and I realize the mileage of others will vary...but I feel like I'm PART of what makes Tiger Stadium "a sacred place." Not me personally, but the passion and desire that makes the place so special.
So...I do my part to help uphold that tradition. I don;t expect everyone to do that, and will defend anyone's right to do as they please. I'd prefer if everyone stayed and were engaged and took part and made Tiger Stadium a monster place to play all game long, but you can't force that...and even trying, at least for our fanbase, does nothing but drive them further away.

You want me to give up my 40 yard line seat and Lot 101 parking pass to someone else. Like that is going to happen.
I live 2 hours away. I always get up at 5:30 am. About 7 hours before game time I load up the tailgate battlewagon and head to Tiger Stadium where we cook and drink for at least 4 hours. Toward the end of the game I get tired and besides if I get caught in traffic I don't get home until 1 to 2 am. for a 7:30 8pm start.

Ban the fans and the band, get rid of network TV coverage, Go to pay per view so that those who want to watch at home can pay for the experience. Play home games in the indoor practice facility so that the Chance of Rain really is "Never" (no lightning delays either). On the PPV broadcast, six minutes before kickoff play 'Louisiana Saturday Night' & 'Calling Baton Rouge.' Play the GBFT complete soundtrack (including 'Neck') between plays and as appropriate. No commercials. No traffic, drink & cuss as much as you want. Tear down Tiger Stadium and use the space for parking and trees. Problems solved. Nobody has anything to bitch about.
