3 losses which would have been 8-9 losses if not for Daniels. He had to be Superman in every game because LSU had the worst defense in half a century.
You realize Nuss have 400 yards only passing against one of the best defenses LSU played all year. While also coming from behind 14 points to win. That was more impressive than anything Daniels did all year.

Orgeron released a monster when he signed Burrow and hired Joe Brady. Proved it was possible.

Nuss will be a top 3 QB drafted after this season.

No one in the SEC can even pass it all over the field like he can.

Man, LSU was due for a stable of QB1s.

I was graduated in ‘00. Saw some shite.
There were flashes in the pan but goddamn we could recruit and get every position player imaginable EXCEPT QB1 for a good while.

It was disgusting.

We are due.

Thats the difference between great QBs and Daniels. Nuss will make the receivers better. Daniels was made because of the receivers.

Nabers and Thomas were getting wide open and to be honest with a better QB both could’ve even had better seasons.

I'll be here to remind y'all JD had Nabers and BTJ as upperclassmen to throw it up to.

Nabers YAC = big yards for JD

Nussmeier is a better passer than Jayden especially considering point of their careers.

Jayden had an easier path to elite passing numbers due to his dual threat ability and defense's obligation to defend him as both run and pass threat. That is not something being said to discredit jayden, its just what the advantage is of being such an elite running and passing qb in today's game.

Nuss may not end up with as elite efficiency stats but he'll do very well and have elite numbers in multiple different ways. The run threat will have to be presented in play action and different means in the offense.

I’m being jokingly skeptical. I feel spoiled as a fan to expect that but it would be awesome if it’s true

"Better" passer will be a tough task. But I think you will see a more diverse route tree with Nussmeier. There wasn't a ton of creativity in the passing game last season. Mostly because there didn't have to be. Daniels mostly looked for the one-on-one matchup and attacked it knowing his WRs were better than the DBs. There will still be some of that next year. But you saw in the bowl game Nussmeier was willing to throw it to different receivers at different levels. He'll throw to the TE over the middle more. He'll try to layer some passes in between defenders. He'll check it down to the backs (whereas Daniels would just take off and run).

I predict that will lead to more interceptions and a lower completion %. But I think you will still see a ton of explosive plays and big time throws into tight windows that may ultimately result in Nussmeier having close to (maybe more) passing yards than Daniels

Good point about his dad being NFL coach. Forgot about that. Would think that would help a ton in steering him to be a smart QB.

considering jayden's numbers last year, its kind of a retarded statement to make as some sort of smart prediction. not being a dick to you but trying to make the point, nuss can throw for 4600 yards, 69%, less than 8 or 9 ints and that is fricking elite territory for a down field passer.
