Why do I keep seeing this exact same post over and over?

I’m astounded at the number of rantards who don’t want to pay the man what is owed.

It’s like they simply can’t believe any decent coach is watching this shite show play out.

Because its the right thing to do for lsu's sake. Hopefully they learn their lesson and do a smaller contract next time....like a 4 year 25 million dollar contract with incentives to make up to a possible 40m.

I guess you want players and coaches who could potentially be coming to lsu to say "frick that im not coming here they dont hold up their end of the bargain, I cant trust LSU".

laugh on that one cause its gonna happen.

Peons that we are, we’ll probably never know the real truth. The back and forth in this thread reminds me of “Rounders” with Woodward as Teddy KBG.

Teddy KGB:
Nyet, nyet. He beat me. Straight up. Pay him. Pay that man his money.

What BK agrees to and what his attorney agrees to are 2 different things.

Pay the man what he's owed

The nuance of course is whether or not he's owed the entirety of his buyout if he did in fact violate the morality clause.

Just saying "pay him what he is owed" ignores the entire question at hand.

Then why wasn't he fired when he violated it?

Obviously they didn't discover it until the 4th quarter of the A&M game.

What's so funny? The many signed a contract now LSU is trying to weasel out of paying Kelly what he's owed. It's a terrible look for LSU.

Who said LSU is trying to weasel out?

LSU has obligations to pay a set amount for the life of the contract

Kelly has obligations to actively seek employment, that once obtained, will offset the buyout.

Both can benefit from a lump sum. But LSU nor Kelly can change the terms without an agreement. So Kelly can’t get a full payment lump sum tomorrow and LSU can’t get a reduction of the total. They need to come together or Kelly will wait 6 years to be made whole.

Now it seems LSU is screwed.

How so?

The state is on the hook for the contract.

LSU may have made out like a bandit.

BK may have to rely on the state to pay him what is owed.

Good luck with that.
