Austin is having a pretty rough off-season. I'm hoping he can figure it out and land somewhere in a better spot. But at this point even a latteral move seems out if the question. Probably going to have to take a much lesser role in a program or sit out the whole next season entirely.

Boy genius had it made here, legions of fans who didn’t know anything about him but all agreed he was a genius worth paying to keep on...and has now bumbled away two jobs by over estimating his own worth

Maybe he’s not as smart as he thinks....

I have no agenda when it comes to Orgeron and it just shows how people can get shite so twisted, so you are way off target. I'm just reporting what I heard, nothing more. As I aforementioned, Thomas wanted back at LSU once his Tenn stint fell through, but he fricked that up by trying to steal a recruit over to Tenn along with him, and Orgeron wants no part of him anymore, clearly.

just because he got cold feet about this ole miss job doesn't mean he isn't good at what he does. He'll resurface

The point isn’t even whether he is good at his job or not. It’s about how he left LSU, twice, sabotaged his job offer at Tennessee, and now has done the same at Ole Miss. Any hiring committee worth a damn will see the red flags that are being waved.

Did you read this before you submitted it?

1.

So there is no chance that you got things twisted?

2.

No other confirmation? Just going off on some bar talk?

quote:

3. Which in some way Orgergon caused Thomas to try to take a recruit with him? How?

quote:

Orgeron wants no part of him anymore, clearly.

4. Would you? Would any reasonable coach welcome back a former employee that stabbed him in the back? How is this act a bad reflection on Orgeron and not Thomas?

He was on an episode of the LSU Sports Insider podcast not too long along. He came across as a social dunce, which is sort of odd given his role.

I can't believe they marked that simple comment unreadable. But whatever, just go and frick yourself or whatever gets you the hell off. You're an arse that got rubbed the wrong way or maybe the right way by someone, and now you feel the need to act out. There's plenty of ways to make yourself feel useful again, like going to a shooting range and asking shooters if they need a live target.

He never even insinuated it was a bad reflection on Orgeron. Just said what he heard caused the bridge to be burned.

Ole Miss would have had to get a waiver on some 2019 prospects who are at-risk due to Thomas, but that process can’t begin until they sign, meaning Ole Miss would be taking a great risk there.

Ole Miss applied and pushed for the Little waiver on Friday and received it on Wednesday. However, Thomas was, and has been, waffling. It became clear to Ole Miss Thomas, per sources, wasn’t committed to the program. “He had a wandering eye,” I was told, which confirmed rumors I heard

Let me just say this: Frick Ole Miss

So, Ole Miss wants a prospective employee to not talk to any other prospective employers? If Ole Myth wants him to no longer look around then give him firm unqualified offer.

Don’t get me wrong, Thomas has absolutely stained his reputation given how things have played out the past few months. However, you are simply incorrect to say no one else wanted him. Clearly he’s got value in the industry if he had job opportunities from two other SEC schools.

I get what you're saying, but they reached an agreement over a month ago, Thomas assured them he was coming multiple times, and waivers for him were already being lined up.

Far be it from me to defend Ole Miss, but they seem like they've been pretty patient with Thomas to this point. They're not obligated to keep the offer standing in perpetuity.

When is the last time someone not accused of a crime or improper behavior damaged their value this much in this short of a time span. Baffling.

Interesting few weeks for AT... Looks to me like AT chose A&M over Ole Miss.
