Ole Miss passed a lot, LSU keyed on that with success, what do you expect from Alabama?

Most LSU fans including myself were expecting Ole Miss to run a lot more vs LSU’s defense. Kiffin sort of played into LSU’s hand by passing plenty even when they gained a big lead. Not sure what to expect from Saban, Alabama loves to pass the ball too with their super star QB, but how well can they run it? Will they be sort of one dimensional or more balanced? What should we expect, most of us were surprised last week by Ole Miss.

We were told Ole Miss had the greatest tandem of runners in the SEC including their QB. Their one was really good.

Let me invite you to not watch the game and refrain from posting during the game.

I expect them to come out like we thought Ole Miss would, establish the run early to set up deep shots for Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs is the best RB in the country idc he will prove it at the next level if you don’t believe me.

True but not unstoppable.. State held him to 37 yards and Bama had 29 total rushing yards (due to negative yards from Young)

Alabama is way better at every position than Ole Miss. Bryce Young will be the best player and Gibbs the best running back we’ve seen his year

Talent wise Alabama has more of an advantage. Coaching wise, LSU has more of an advantage. We saw what adjustments LSU’s can make in a half on both sides of the ball, they have two weeks prepare. I’m excited to see how it all unfolds.

Our D line was all in the backfield and got was constantly putting pressure on Dart. That won't happen near as much against Bama, and when our guys do get back there, Young is damn good on his feet while keeping his eyes downfield and lands accurate throws on the run. In no way will this be comparable to Ole Miss, even if Bama is a little down this year.

Have only seen Bama play UTenn and UTenn got a lot of pressure on Young but as you note he handles it well. I think we'll get pressure on Young.

Agreed. You have to pressure him and we will. I expect a relatively high scoring affair. Hope we don’t spot them the first quarter.

Some times they’ll run, other times they’ll pass

Most defensive coordinators first priority is to take away what the other teams do best. That is why Ole Miss threw the ball, because House put us in defensive alignments to stop the run, make them throw.

It will be interesting to see what he does with Alabama. I suspect one of the first priorities would be to keep Young in the pocket, don't let him outside and improvise.

People are still underestimating how good Tennessees offense is. Young is the better over all player, but Hooker and that Tennessee offense are operating at a higher level this year.

We won't face another offense that can move the ball like that. Young and Gibbs can be contained. If it becomes a shootout type game, I like our chances as good as against anyone we've played this year

What I'm concerned with is it becoming a game like Tennessee if our offense is limited by Bama defense and we can't keep matching scores with them. Even if Young and Gibbs are on fire, if our offense matches pace, we'll be in it in the end to try to steal that win.
