Arkansas is a train wreck and in Baton Rouge, next to Bama the game they have circled is A&M and it’s at home, they will not be flat.

Ole Miss has a decent defense and a highly mobile qb, it’s a rivalry game, and it’s on the road, and they are desperate for a win to save their season, it’s after an incredible win and we are always flat after that and physically and emotionally beat up. We are a better team but they are not nearly as bad as their record, they almost beat Auburn on the road, lost to California on bad call, scored 31 on bama. This is a very dangerous game they need to take very seriously and Not act like they will just get off the bus Ole Miss will take one look and concede. They have nothing to lose and the 15k fans at the fans will be pumped

Aggie.

Ole Miss has a much improved team and can score a lot of points, but we shouldn't be stopped on offense. We should score 60.

Aggie has a pretty strong defense and much more talent/experience top to bottom than Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has done it to us before. Tuberville had it down when he was there.

The leader ship and hunger on this team isn’t going to let that happen. I do think however that I’ll miss on the road this week is more dangerous

LSU would have to have a severe let down for the Ole Miss game to be close.

Aggie will likely be another close game going into the 4th.

I was there last time they did it to us. I remember it well as I was 10 rows behind our bench

Aggie’s are a better team but the hate is now real and personal and it’s home. We will be ready and the beatdown will be real.

Probably the most relevant comparison, Auburn absolutely slept walk after our game, they obviously didn't want to be in that stadium that night
quote:

lost to California on bad call

Who have since lost 5 straight, so that's not good to even be in the game with them
quote:

scored 31 on bama

The very definition of garbage time stats. Bama was up 45-10 after their first drive of the 3rd quarter. To that point Ole Miss had 180 yards of offense and 10 points, and their TD came on a 25 yard drive after Waddle dropped a punt.

This feels like the Utah State game, where everybody keeps talking about how talented the players are, and how close they played other teams, but when you really start to analyze the games it's pretty ugly outside of the end of the Auburn game and A&M

I really hope we don’t overlook this game and handle business as usual. Should be interesting too being the first cold game of the season for us

Ole miss lost by one score at Auburn, vs A&M, Memphis (who is in top 25) and 11 to Missouri, their frosh qb has run and passed over 100 yards 4 times, we will win but it certainly could be a game, oh and while we are a VERY diff team the line for Troy was 21, just like Ole miss...

Their white QB can absolutely FLY. Creates issues for the defense.

If we can contain him in the pocket and force the pass, we'll be good. Rich Rod is going to be pulling out all the stops for this one.

On the other side, these are their passing defense ranks:

YPG - 109th
Opp Completion % - 113th
Opp Average QBR - 74th
Opp Passing 1st Downs Per Game - 104th

Texas A&M is definitely the better team, but I also see Ole Miss being more dangerous. As much as people say championship teams don't have let downs, you can't possibly play at the level you played against Alabama in a matter of 7 days. It's not possible.

Ole Miss has just enough juice to make this a game. Arkansas is really really bad this year. Texas A&M will get LSU when they are the last obstacle between them and an SECCG. Not good for Texas A&M.

Ole Miss scares me the most.

Which is our greatest strength on D (13th nationally). We will be fine.

If we beat Ole Miss and Arkansas, it won't matter if we beat Aggie or not, we'll be in the SECCG.

That scares me. And it could potentially be seen as an acceptable loss to the playoff committee if we beat UGA and win the SEC.

Best thing going for us in that one is last year. People are still pissed about that, Burrow most especially.

I agree.

It is impossible for LSU to reach the same emotional peak they had going into the Alabama. If it wasn't evident before the game, the Alabama game was the apex of what this program has been building to over the last year (if not longer). That may sound silly seeing as how there are 3 (likely 4) games remaining on the schedule, but EVERYONE knew without a win over Alabama, LSU's dreams for something bigger likely didn't matter.

This will be a week O really earns his pay due to the tough task getting this group emotionally ready to prepare for and play Ole Miss.

With that said, Ole Miss has been playing tough football really all year. Alabama is the only team that's been been able to blow them out. And while they have lost the last three SEC games, they've been able to hang around in them (2 on the road). They will have nothing to lose Sat. night and you can expect they'll throw the kitchen sink at LSU...and it doesn't help that LSU will likely be missing both their starting tackles.

Arkansas has quit and LSU will be ready for A&M. Not saying the Tigers will lose Sat., but this is the one I'm most worried about simply because they will need to find motivation after an emotionally draining two weeks and game day

Hate to sound cliche, but any one of those teams could potentially give trouble.

But I think that the staff, Burrow, and the other leaders on the team will be focused. Hell, Burrow was talking about Ole Miss on Saturday after the game.
They know they have to opportunity to do something special.
