Show/Cause is what Tressel had. Makes you untouchable, as any school that hires you has to take your penalties as well.

Rebs must be scared to death over "loss of institutional control" violations to make this concession. They ain't BAMA. They could get a lot worse.

Ocho, USC didn't get the death penalty and I would say they are back on good footing. They almost made a case to be in the playoffs this year. They lost schollys and Bowl ban a couple of bad years but I I would say most of the bad was due to the head coaching pics.

The NCAA should see this as disrespectful and a slap in the face. Ole Miss won't be eligible for a bowl anyway this year, and if they are, it's going to be a shitty bowl.

It's like they're just saying "frick your report NCAA".

About as bad as it can get. Don't think they'll get the death penalty unless something else shows up. Getting caught lying to investigators is killer.

Bingo. They've gone from the failure to monitor charge in the January 2016 Notice of Allegations to the lack of institutional control.
They are not USC or Alabama or Penn State and unlike the Cam Newton case, the NCAA has the evidence to back up these charges. They won't get the death penalty but after this is over they may wish they did.

This would not have happened if admiral ackbar was made the mascot back in 2010.

Yeah, because they've beaten us 6 straight times and currently rule the SEC.

Call it whatever you want. Just be fair and call yourself a jackass that enjoys smelling his own farts.

3-year bowl ban
lots of lost schollies
players can transfer out and be eligible immediately
Freeze gets the show cause
