I understand they are retiring Eli's jersey tomorrow, but that's a bit much. Think LSU will ever paint Burrow in the EZs? lol

In celebration of Eli's time at OM....damn glad our defense was on point that November night in 2003.

Very good point. I suspect he will be in attendance tomorrow?

The painting of Manning is for Eli but it's mostly to get Arch to notice how much they are desperate to get him and we all know how Ole Miss works. With Arch's grandfather (Archie) and his uncle (Eli) going and playing for Ole Miss it is almost a certainty Arch will wind up there.

If his son comes here and stars and then his grandson is a five-star recruit? Yeah, probably.

If joe burrow has a son who’s a 5 star recruit and we have a cheezy coach at the time sure we might paint his name in the end zone. Who knows.

It’s a recruiting ploy.

It's pretty hilarious, he really didn't accomplish much to have his jersey retired, except being fathered by Archie.

Matt Mauch and Matt Flynn both won national championships and nobody is pushing for their jersey to be retired.

I was in high school and my dad surprised me with tickets for me and him the day before. He drove us up from Long Beach that morning, and home after the game. We didn't get home until like 1 in the morning but my god was it worth it! Watching Devery streak down the sideline right in front of us into the end zone was fricking amazing. Then to top it off, we got to watch Eli fall on his arse.

Don’t forget that his father played at OM until he found out about his neck issue.

Dude, its ole miss. Youre talking about a program that puts up a banner for the "2003 sec west champions" when we clearly beat them, went to atlanta, and went on to win the national championship.
