Kiffen was being a bitch about wanting his cake and eat it too, you’re either with us or against us, that’s JJ’s philosophy too

Kiffin encouraged Carter to meet with the team's leadership council, according to Ole Miss sources, telling him that he wasn't going to like what he would hear. But instead of telling Carter the team wanted Kiffin to coach in the CFP, the players said they were more worried about their position coaches staying and had grown tired of the drama surrounding Kiffin.

Seriously doubt that.....and if they are so butt hurt about coaches leaving, why are they allowing the OC back for the playoffs?

So let me see here... Our AD says.. Take your time.. go win a championship.. we will wait for our Guy..

Ole miss AD says.. sign this extension or you're not coaching! Oh and since you are leaving you can't say bye to your team. Ok.. confirms I'm.making the right decision.. easy choice..

Excellent point unless OM wants to make him HC.

They tried to use that as leverage and I’m sure LK thought they might let him once the season was over and officially knew he was leaving. Very stupid, short sighted decision by Ole Piss.

Kiffin said he and the admin spent that Saturday evening going over how he might be able to coach
Agreed. If the only conversation was him notifying OM about taking the job, why did they meet for 4 hours? It's obvious there was lots of conversation on how to move forward. If it was as simple as he portrays, then no way they meet that long.

Both things can be true. Kiffin was willing to coach. The timeline of this guy saying "no" is irrelevant. Kiffin playing 5D chess against this guy.

Yeah the AD sounds like a bitch with his “YOU can’t coach here anymore…but can you please send back your OC to coach for us, pretty please?” bullshite.

Doesn’t mean Kiffin didn’t try everything to convince him.

Exactly. He was dead serious wanting to coach that team then come here and was willing to use leverage to do it. That was not the correct move. Should have just walked, taken what he wanted, and that's it.

I do like the move letting Weiss coach the playoffs. Got no issues with that but the way Ole Miss is, they're eventually gonna resent it. I doubt it happens.
