I get the angle of giving a guy a chance to grow and come into his own there. I also get not wanting to be swept.

Have to at least put a ball in play. Whether it be a line out, ground out or something cannot popup in foul territory.

He’s not going to put in a lefty there but Berry or Bianco would have been better. Hell just sending Berry up there even if he can’t swing they aren’t going to give him anything to hit
