They left the SEC in 1966. Over 50 years.

Once they left the SEC, I consider the rivalry dead. They played regularly through the 90s, but since leaving the SEC, they have played 33 times. And Tulane has won 4 of them.

That's hard to consider a real rivalry worthy of any disdain.

Yeah, I've never really followed all of this: "Root for the SEC" regardless. Sure; I kinda hope Miss State and Tennessee wins their bowls...

But I hope Alabama, Auburn, Ole Piss, and Florida lose every single game they play. Every single one. Maybe when they play each other they can tie.

I hope somehow both lose.

I will cheer for Tulane before ULL. Its hard not to like Willie Fritz and their team always has a lot of New Orleans and Louisiana guys. Things are more fun when especially in New Orleans when Tulane has a decent team and there is another game to keep interest in.

Although, I usually support all SEC schools when playing outside the conference.

I wish we played them every year

Loved the wheel barrow races

Always happy for Tulane and happier when they get leftover Louisiana recruits that stay in state rather than go to other SEC schools.
