We are in desperate need of some baseball players. Jay recruits well but there are players being recruited that haven’t been laid eyes on playing ball other than a few innings of showcase. The baseball IQ isn’t super high.

And check out the pitch count.

There are a lot of good, talented players on this team. The whole is somehow less than the sum of its parts at this point, which is crazy to say considering the strength of our coaching staff.

Moves that they would probably take back (and hopefully learn from):
- Ruckert in as defensive sub
- Guidry in past 3 innings

Honestly seems like we are getting the 50-50 balls this year and things aren’t going our way. In 2022 and 2025 we got the little things in our advantage and things worked out for us seems like we are on the other side this year.

4 hits, retarded in the field again. It's still not fun.

4 hits for a “Sunday” game is horrible.

It’s stating to feel like 24 all over again, but that team did come on strong.

It’s a bad hitting team.

Hopefully Moore is ok and the defense can at least be average.

Curiel and Brown giving us nothing is really a killer.

I think Stanny and Serna showing up is a good sign.

OU isn’t a bad team but we fricking let them off the hook 2 games in a row.

this team just finds ways to lose and Jay is not pressing the right buttons

This is really a problem. Ruckert boots the ball and we have a first baseman, on what is clearly going to be a bang bang play, not even bother to stretch receiving the throw. If he stretches the guy is out and Oklahoma doesn’t get the fourth run. Those things should just not happen.

Yeah, we’re going to sit one of the best hitters in the last postseason on a team that’s struggling to hit.

Johnson is always about flushing the previous season.
It isn’t the post season. He is hitting below the Mendoza line from the right side and barely above from the left.
The reason this team is shite is the leaders are shite. There are no leaders on this team. Maybe Stanny can get them off their arse.
Johnson is playing hope this last month.
There is no good combination right now.
Why I said he is playing.
They hit into the shift like lambs they are

This is a ridiculous take that doesn’t line up with how Jay has run the program for entire tenure.

Milam obviously isn’t sitting, but wouldn’t even if he weren’t the starting SS and a plus defender. You know- the same way that Bear didn’t sit last year through two lengthy swoons where he routinely struck out swinging at shite. Same as Curiel not sitting when he went cold for the middle part of last season. Milam also had a significant cold steak last year.

Jay never sits his top hitters even when they are struggling. He has always let them play through them to get back on track. He’s going to do that with all of the above this year.

I said if he wasn’t so good defensively he would be sitting. Against the likes of Sacramento state, USL, Grambling, he is hitting a staggering .220 in the month of March with 2 multi hit games one being that 16 run game at Vandy

Brown has been pitched around all weekend. He barreled balls up consistently and has walked 6 times in 3 games and 2 stolen bases. Hit a ball yesterday 400ft and one today to the wall the LF made hell of a play. It’s not him. Just my opinion

1000% percent chance he wouldn’t be sitting for a single SEC game, despite the struggles to start the season.
