I don't want to hear no JD.

We are supposed to have one of the best OL's in the country.

Davis is supposed to be a good OL Coach.

We are a great pass blocking line, you cannot tell me these guys aren't ultra talented. Are they not being taught run blocking skills? Is the Center making that much of a difference? Are our running backs just that slow and bad?

We can't even line up and blow Nichols off the ball when we need 2 yards. We are in deep trouble if we can't get this fixed, and I'm no longer sure that it is fixable.

We are running an air raid Rpo offense with a pro style qb. Our rpo option with the running back only involves runs in between the tackles. The qb is not a run option. Which puts more pressure on the interior run scheme.

We have to get the ball outside the tackles with more creative runs because it’s obvious at this point that they can’t run block like they can pass block.

We haven’t been able to do that in 30 years. Almost no team can. In today’s game, if a team wants to shut down your running game they will, except towards the end if they are tired.

I think that college teams generally have to focus their offense due to a lack of available practice time. Miles used to focus on the running game. He’s take a very average line, train them like crazy, and produce a running game that was very difficult to stop. As a result, his passing game was simplistic and relied on the running game to give them a vulnerable secondary. Kelly is the opposite - a very sophisticated passing game with a very simplistic running game.

Jesus I’m tired of hearing this shite.

Mike denbrock just lost to northern Illinois.

You get the right player and your offense breaks records. Jayden was a special. Burrow was special. The play calls don’t have to be special when the guy with the ball is.

Our recruiting isn’t gonna be hurt from anything we’ve done so far.

I have watched the last 4 National Champion winning qbs not being a run option, all averaging around 15 yards a game, much like Nuss last night. That dog won't hunt.

and who's fault is that? Davis is supposed to be a top OL Coach? BK is getting paid $800K a game, and he can't figure it out? This sloan guy is starting to look a lot like a bad hire, no creativity. This is on BK for hiring yet another coordinator that is not qualified. Much like Favre made Curly Hallman, JD made those guys look good at the OC position last year....BK is over his head in the current college football field today. Saban evolved, it just looks like BK got lucky last year with JD and it covered up a lot of glaring weaknesses. No way you have to have a qb running it to be successful, too many teams are winning championships in both college and the NFL without out it. It comes down to coaching and talent.

yes, he averaged a total of 15 yards per game for the entire season. Look it up dumbass.....I know what you are shooting far here, but the numbers for the last 4 fkn national championship winning qbs, they all averaged around 15 yards per game....much like Nuss had last night.....like I said, look it up dumbass.

That is what is so puzzling for everyone. Including the Coaches. We struggled in '06 to run the ball to start the season too but that was mainly due to a predominantly new offensive line.

The struggle this year is very difficult to understand other than maybe the blocking scheme and vision of backs does not compliment each other meaning: If Williams is a better gap scheme runner but our offensive line is better at zone blocking then its not a compliment.

Will say the film of USC showed outside of Emery the backs were not falling forward, making people miss, or breaking tackles. I haven't rewatched this game just looking at the offensive line to know what were the issues from this game but I remember a solid 4 plays where our offensive line did not create a push and actually on 1 play, a guard and tackle blocked opposite of each other resulting in both of their guys being in the hole.

Scheme and personnel. Right now they don’t have anyone that has speed to go outside/off-tackle. So all other team has to do is stack the box. They know the qb isn’t going to rollout and run. It’s all predictable

Uncreative, vanilla run scheme

No pistol (even Denbrock figured that out last year)

Offensive line that doesn't seem to produce as their press clippings promised

You can manufacture some RB rushing if you have a historic talent like a JD5, but otherwise? Doubtful

We also may have Moffitt'd Kaleb Jackson

I’ll repeat what I said in the summer. Just because LSU hires them, doesn’t make them the best coach. They are familiar. That’s all. Watch other schools with average players getting coached up. We have wasted talent.

Stetson Bennnet ran for 10TDs in 2022.

Josh Williams has ran for 11 TDs in 5 years lol.
