What kind of running back would Devin White be in the NFL?

I’m guess he wouldn’t have been drafted fifth as a RB. Hey, I’m glad he’s the hitter and not the hit-ee, but I just wonder at 6’-0, 240, what he would wreck as a running back!

I’d bet if he had spent his college career at RB and focused solely on being a RB he could have been pretty good.

I think he would have been a Darrel Williams type back. Good enough to have success at the position but nowhere near reaching the potential that he reached as a LB.

Props to Miles for seeing that and making the switch

Why do you want to pick on one of your own?

Honestly I think the move to LB was out of pure necessity/ stupid recruiting holes. Though it certainly worked out good for him.

He would have had a better career at RB than Trent Richardson.

Poorer as RB than an LB.

He will make more money at linebacker than he ever would at running back in the NFL. Good quality Running backs are a dime a dozen but great linebackers are tough to fine. That’s why nfl teams don’t usually draft them high and undrafted free agents can have success at that level more than any other position.

Trust me, GSUsTalon
I’m not picking on Dev White. I remember him picking up a fumble last year and rambling a few dozen yards or so before being tackled short of a TD...and he looked like he knew what he was doing and he enjoyed it. I also remember some dialogue of his last year suggesting that CEO let him run the ball in goal line situations.
