Lane said Saban knows more about your 3rd and 4th string than you do. One reason O went to Alleva and got the money to hire the analyst positions.

Lane said that there wasn't a big gap in talent between Bama and LSU. Said Aranda always gave him fits. Went up against him when he was at Utah State and Wisconsin as well as LSU.

Called out LSU fans and Tiger Stadium for not being loud.

This defense will be filthy That's why I don't understand the 6 or 7 wins regardless of our schedule. If we can put 21 on the board we will be fine! This might be a 10 points a game defense!

You said it yourself. Most teams would laugh at merely getting 21 points.

People around here don't wanna hear that unfortunately. It's a little hyperbole for sure, but some people want to act like it's some huge difference and that there's some sort of rebuild taking place here.

Right, so when recruiting is more or less equal, player preparation, coaching schemes, discipline makes all the difference.

And we went 9-4 last year...

9/13= .69 * 100% = 69%

So is O’s coaching worth -6%

Is the guy who runs the LSU 24/7 site some of the people you are talking about?

In this story, numbers on each recruiting class. One that stings? The 2015 class, where 39% of the signees have already transferred or been dismissed.

From the 2014-2016 classes, only 32 signees (44%) remain on the team right now.

I'm starting to really like Lane, and I have never said that before.

In 2015 LSU was in the CFP rankings and was a 10 win team with the McNeese game. The OM and Arkansas losses are coaching losses, not because of talent. In 2016, they were preseason top 5, and the losses to Wisconsin and Auburn were coaching losses and not talent. They were both lost on the last drive. LSU hasn't missed a bowl game in nearly 2 decades.

A rebuild would at least require missing a bowl game. A rebuild is more like taking over a 3-9 team. You can quote that same article over and over, but it's never going to prove that this was ever a rebuild because that's ridiculous.

Eta: Should have put CFP top 4 when they came out with their rankings.

He's right. LSU pseudo-fans too busy sipping their wine, snacking on the cheese and making plans for what they're going to be doing after they leave the stadium at half-time.

BTW, what noise that's actually generated by the fans is drowned out by the ultra annoying-irritating PIM.

It's unfortunate that Lane took the FAU position. O had that setup and was reassured by Kiffin that he was coming to LSU. I believe that was a major part of O landing the job. O then made the mistake of hiring Canada.
