You can’t seem to grasp the pretty simple concept that one of them INVOLVES LSU & one doesn’t.

LSU is trying to remove themselves from any association with Guice for their own sake as much as they are trying to “punish” Guice

one (allegedly) happened while at LSU and not 2 decades after leaving

It's possible that part of the settlement between LSU and the victims was to sever all ties with Guice. This would require LSU to remove his name from the record books.

I have no clue though, just speculating.

Nope. He forfeited the right.

Being that he was never formally convicted of a crime,

Maybe it's the attorney in me, but i have a big, big problem with formal punishment without conviction. I know it's not court but a "private entity." It doesn't pass muster, though.

I was at the game when Guice ran for nearly 300 yards against Texas A&M. It happened, we all saw it.

Me too. But if LSU wants to pretend it didn’t happen, they can mail me a check to reimburse me for tickets and gas.

To me you can erase names from records regardless. But to choose which crimes you can excuse vs which ones you can’t is just a sign of the time you’re in. I can promise you some guys in record books were pretty racist pieces of shite too but that’s ok to ignore. But the Guice accusations we just believed and ran with immediately. There is no longer any burden of proof.

Les Miles didn’t get erased and he was accused too. I get no recognizing people after the fact but removing names is stupid.

Guice needs the benefit of the doubt. Give him a break-- his dad was murdered when he was only six, and his two accusers ALLEGEDLY reported to be victims of sexual battery in 2016, four years before he got in trouble in Washington. It seems they were "piling on."

Why?

Because he accomplished it on the field. Could be there as a constant reminder that it takes more than just talent to achieve in this game we call life.

From his first hand interactions with Guice, he "couldn't fricking stand him." Those were his exact words. He said the guy was an absolute egotist to the highest regard and likely the least humble person he had ever meet. Nearly everything that came out of his mouth would be a brag or was in some way trying to boost his ego. He also mentioned that on several occasions, when asked to sign autographs, he would either laugh at, ignore, or ask them for money in exchange. I had asked him what he thought about the sexual assault allegations. He said he never saw or heard Guice do anything especially egregious sexualy. But that's a subjective statement. However he said he did believe that the allegations were more likely to be true than not, just based on his overall personality, and mentioned that he thought Guice's ego wouldn't allow himself to be told no.

I had an employee that was sleeping with him and she would show me a lot of the text messages. Dude was a terrible person and she was equally an idiot. The stuff I read in those texts could have ended his career. I took the opportunity to mess with him after the Wisconsin game. Dude's eyes went wide when I mentioned her name

no matter how miserable of a human being he is or was off the field. That should not take away the fact of what transpired on the field. His stats should stay removing the name of a player and acting like it never happened is ridiculous.

He should never have been removed. Just because he’s a major piece of shite doesn’t mean they didn’t happen. OJ turned 2 people into human pez dispensers and his records and rewards still remain at USC and in the NCAA books. You can’t just act like they didn’t happen.

I don’t think taking advantage of passed out girls is redeemable, even if you are young. Wtf is this way of thinking. Everyone knows he did it, it wasn’t one case, he had like 9 allegations against him. None were disproven, and settling doesn’t equal innocence
