I so expected that

He'll do great as long as he gets opportunities

Honest question for the group. Why would you not add some grad transfers or other 1 year type players. I recognize the roster goes back to 35 in 2022 but I would say load up in 2021.

The Jackson State kid and others would love to play a year at LSU I would think. I know everyone will say playing time but our offense was quite bad through 17 games this season and that was with DC and Garza.

A lot of grad transfers in the portal have already found homes before the draft as ironic as that sounds.

If more enter the portal then that becomes an option.

Walker was going to round into shape by postseason. Bookmark this and feel free to ridicule me if he isn’t one of OKSts three best pitchers in 2021.

Well that's all the more reason to leave then. He wasn't going to be one of LSU's three best pitchers for sure, so why not go where you have a chance to start?

Wouldn’t be a top 3 starter but would be a hugely valuable bullpen guy and 4th starter in postseason 2021.

Marceaux is the ace. Then Labas and Hill. Truly believe Henry could’ve worked his way back to #4. Hell I think he would’ve gotten to #5 this year.

Wouldn’t shock me if it ends up that way but he’s gotta he penciled in as Sunday as of now. Also Marceaux is a stud. I absolutely think Hill passes Labas in non conference.

I love Hill but why are y’all anointing him over Marceaux?

Because he has better stuff than any pitcher we’ve had since Nola.

I’ll be shocked if Hill isn’t starting Friday nights by the second weekend.

Not really. Hill is your ace and it’s not even kind of close.

I love Marceaux but it’s a lot closer of a race between Marceaux and Labas for Saturday’s than it is against Hill for Friday.

Which pitcher gets the ball on opening night will be determined in fall practice. Hill has to prove that he has stamina to go 6+ innings and Marceuax and Labas have to show that they are still strong, consistent starters. The Friday starter role will probably be fluid for most of non conference play. I like that we have more options this year.
