In 24 hours we went from complete incompetence to Scott fricking Woodward. I can’t believe this is real.

I was a teeny tiny bit nervous LSU would somehow screw this up at the very last min.

We just demoted the one that did all the screwing up...

I'm still in shock at how smoothly this whole process went. I'm so used to it being a bumbling fricking mess with LSU trying to hire someone and this went about as well and seamlessly as you could ask for. I think it's pretty telling that the first hire made in the athletic department that didn't involve Alleva went this well.

We now have a highly regarded, ridiculously competent, and passionate LSU fan running the athletics department.

The culture of indifference within the AD that has been established over the years is about to implode. Things are going to be different.

Can we sticky this thread instead of the sources confirm one?

Not only did LSU go out and get one of the best ADs in the country who happens to be a true Tiger, but LSU conducted its business with swift, decisive, action that was behind the scenes quiet. I. Am. Impressed.
The most decisive move in LSU athletics in a decade and Alleva was not involved.

He needs to go into his press conference and talk about the “strong arse offer” LSU made to him.

TBH I was a little worried there had been no official announcement. Whew.

100%.

The difference between a competent individual that bleeds P&G and a formally trained executive that values rubbing elbows with ivory tower elites over LSU athletics will be massively beneficial to LSU.
