I know it’s been posted by multiple people, myself included. I’ll bold it to help you.

get rid of single A so more kids will stay in college.
This wouldn’t lessen the need for minor league teams.

The MLB has just let the teams choose, and if the team drafts a senior, they aren’t going to give him a ton of money because the senior can’t go back to school or anything. It sucks for the senior but i don’t blame the teams for doing that since seniors don’t have leverage. Saves a lot of money

Why should a team be able to lowball you though? You should get your slot value.

If it worked how you think it should, they just wouldn't draft college seniors in the first 10 rounds. Teams do it the way they do so they can offer other guys with leverage over their slot in the first 10 rounds, not to screw over a college senior just because they can.

Baseball has a huge benefit no other sport does...being able to know where you're drafted and what you'll be paid before making the decision to go to/stay in school or play pro ball.

You have to mean day 2, no way anyone was considering drafting him in 1st/2nd round.

And I don’t care about the mlb. Our state doesn’t even have a team and the product is sabermetric garbage.

College sports are so much more pure, or they used to be until all of this immediate transfer/NIL nonsense.

Sorry that I’m against the almighty dollar poisoning everything.

I can believe that, not sure I wouldnt have taken the money to be honest for Jobert. Certainly no guarantee he starts next year...unless some promises were made.

That would imply an affinity for big government so no. Placing money at the center of every institution and decision is just as ruinous though.
