I would think you can still get more than what he is getting now but if you don’t what have you risked, $180k is peanuts and they aren’t going to invest in you anyway.He could go to LSU an even that leverage didn’t help him.Kumar Rocker had no leverage and yet they did pay him under slot but he still is getting millions of dollars with zero leverage

I know this isn't exactly how it works, but a certain catcher was projected somewhere in the 50-80 range. That's right around $1M slot value. Let's pretend he didn't get selected there because his number was over his slot value. How likely is it at this point for a team to have that much space to offer a guy $1.2-1.5M?
