Took 4 hours to do the first 2 rounds, probably take 3 to do the next 7. I hate the dog and pony show these drafts have become.

A&M Commit Dasan Brown to the Blue Jays.
Matthew Allen just went to the Mets, it was expected that he shows up to Florida. This is interesting.

Its just an opinion bubbz. Really makes no sense to me how osullivan gets all these top 2-3 round guys there. To my knowledge they havent previously had the fan support, facilities, or scholarship benefits to do it, yet he kept pulling it off. So i assume its money under the table

Florida I’m not sure about but I heard Vandy gives privatized scholarships to kids. Not sure if that’s 100% true but that’s the idea I got from a few recruiting people.
Florida is likely selling close to home as more often than not its local kids and some under the table $

Vandy is a private school. They have endowment scholarships that players can qualify for.

Qualifications must be hitting 95+ on the gun

Vandy offers money to any kid who gets in regardless if they're an athlete or not. The amount you pay is based on how much your family can afford.

probably one qualification

It's pretty amazing how every one of them qualifies for it.

Florida is a relatively cheap school for in-state kids too. And the sheer amount of talent in the state means that they can find high level guys willing to pass up scholarship $ from other schools.
In Louisiana, there isn't enough talent to spread around and it's hard to get guys to give up $ from ULL or SELU and come here on TOPS only.
ETA: South Carolina's class is getting gutted. Which is nice to see because their coach is kind of a jackass.

But the way they make this work within the rules of the NCAA is that the same money is available to the entire student body and not just athletes. I'm not sure the private/public thing really matters. I think LSU could do the same, but simply can't afford to because their student population is so much larger.

the I have heard it explained is Vandy recruits with 11.7 scholarships every year. After your first year you have to make the grades to qualify for a scholarship that every student in the university can also get as you stated.

We are through 4 1/2 with no signs of getting crushed. I'm starting to get very hopeful.
