We have to throw the ball downfield. Throw it 50 yards downfield three times in a row, if necessary. Only three things can happen: completion, incompletion or interception. Even if it's intercepted, at least we get the equivalent of a 50 yard punt. I don't call a pass five yards downfield as "opening it up."

Compare the formations and play design of A&M's offense to our POS high school system. If Mett has only two receivers in the pattern, then of course he's going to stare them down. No place else to look.
LSU does nothing to confuse the defense or to set up mismatches. ESPN just showed the Aggies double covered the two receivers we had out and Mett had no place to go.
