Jimbo Fisher was calling the plays then. And both Fisher and Miles have each stated that they have their own offensive philosophies.

It was one of the reasons Fisher agreed to take a large paycut to move to Florida State. That and the promise that Bobby Bowden would one day step down.

So his response to that was to hire a OC known more for his spread passing attack? Miles didnt trust our 2 headed monster at qb that is why we ran so much. People forget a lot of fans wanted jimbo gone because after running the 10th bubble screen a game it got kinda old.

BS. We didn't exactly try to run the ball down their throats and wear them out like we had been doing all year either.

For frick's sake Miles!!! What was special about the "back end of the season"???

My fricking lord. This guy repeatedly ADMITS(albeit obliquely) that he was aware of how fricked up his JJ decision was and yet, he couldn't get off of it.

That is one stubborn or stupid mother fricker.

I was not one of those fans. But I understand the frustration. I felt the same way after watching JJ running the 10th option to the short side.

Miles hired him. It was another poor decision on his part.

well crowton was trying to implement the spread option at UO...but yeah it was a choice that i thought signalled les showing he wnated to run an aggressive offense...and then he pulled back, again

people keep talking about how the game monday night was the turning point for les, but he's had these turning points before. each time we end up regressing back to super conservative offense in bigger games. 2007 was the outlier, in many ways

It'll be interesting to see the offense next season.

He really never gave either QB a shot at running an aggressive offense. No faith in either QB. I think they are better than they are made out to be by the coaching staff and most of the fanbase. But Miles, Krags, Stud, and Crowton all seemed to agree that they sucked. Niether QB was given a legitimate opportunity to prove otherwise.

Gee, wonder why that was? Is he really that clueless, or does he just think the fans are?

He gave it to us in the back end.

Miles said similar shite last year and we see what it got this team.

Only way this happens is if Miles completely gets out of the playcalling and he's too arrogant and selfish to do that.

We'll likely go from 2:1 runs to pass like 5:3 run:pass and Les will claim we changed philosophy.

There are some clueless fans out there. Many of them are on this board still defending Miles.

Where have you been boxcar? Came back after Tebow crapped the bed yesterday because it helps your JJ=Tebow pitch, since they both sucked in big games on national TV? We understand, you think JJ is awesome but the coaching staff (no matter who that is) was keeping a lid on his greatness. I'm sure he will be a high draft choice by some savvy GM that sees that same high ceiling that you and the rest of his family do.

I think they're finally saying......we have a qb everyone watch the frick out.
Then they look to the LSU side line and see big ten mastermind and say- not to worry, Lester is still there!

I think you are right that he had no confidence in the quarterbacks this year, but why not give Mett some time then? At least JJ and JL are no longer eligible.
