We've had years when we have done better than the 32.5 ppg that we had this year

And that was heavily influenced by the A&M game.

Found after an exhaustive nationwide search, just as we were promised. Whoda thunk the best OC in the country was already on our staff?

OFF and DEF was bad in UF game. As inconsistent as the OFF was the DEF let them drive the length of the field for the go-ahead TD when I think most of us thought we had this game. Is what it is, but again BOTH sides of the ball had their failures in the UF game.
Looking forward to pay-back in Oct at home. Beat dat arse!

That was my whole point of the thread and most went off topic. Considering the OL and RB position was not up to par, you can only blame a OC so much. Should be upgraded on offense going forward and I expect a better offense.

Ehh false. The only time our offense was let down by our defense was A&M.

You mean when coverting either a third and three in regulation or a TD on first and goal from the three in OT would have won the game? Yeah, all on the defense, offense and officials had no impact on the outcome.

You posted a bunch of opinions and told people to "come at you bro" with facts. You then argued every fact posted.

That's why your thread went "off topic".

Very simple in the FLA.game if the receivers would have caught the ball we would have won the game! 3 Times they were behind the sagety's & dropped the ball!!!!! BUTTER FINGERS ! Certainly aren't WRU!!!

We forced punts on their first 3 drives
4/6 drives in the first half

Florida started the second half with
Interception
3-out
3-out
3-out

Essentially

You’re talking out of your arse.

They had 2 long drives
And 1 short one because our offense kept trading punts from our end zone.

Not to mention with an average at best OL. Below average, than the norm, at the RB position and a QB who showed up months before the season started. I'd say Slinger doesn't deserve half the crap you rantards complain about towards him. Only loss was Bama in which the offense didn't show up. I blame that more on the mindset of the players because that game seems to be far reached even during the other OCs we had. Come at me bro with some facts. And Geaux Tigers!

Without coming out and saying it, even the staff recognizes that the offense was not what they had hoped. That's why they went out and got Brady to help modernize the scheme and get a real RPO. Our red zone offense was one of the worst in the country. Even in the UGA game we settled for far too many FGs and left the door open in the 4th before pulling away.

We still sit in the same position as we did under Miles where we can beat the teams that we exceed in talent, but won't beat teams with equal or better talent because we can't outscheme them. That has to change otherwise we will continue to have at least 2 games we lose each season because we are outmatched or outcoached.

Not really. One lousy 1st down needed, and don't forget the defense supplied a 4th qtr TD.

I don't fault the offense as much as the staff.
They would've been more aggressive on the last drive without the defensive TD help and with the tie probably would've drove down for final score instead of sitting on the lead.

Lsu had the lead in 4th quarter. Defence must protect the lead.

While true, the offense was also bad enough to lose 5-6 games.

Miami, Auburn, MissSt, Arkansas could have all easily been losses. And honestly UGA game was a lot closer than the final score indiciated...LSUs inability to score TDs in the red zone allowed UGA to stay within striking distance.

LSU’s Offense should be ranked in at least the Top50 in most of the significant offensive statistical categories.

I’m not here to rail on E and the offense. My only point: let’s not be in denial here ... LSU’s Offense has to get better in order to compete For championships. The offensive production and consistency we got in 2018 is not good enough. I’m sure Orgeron and Ensminger would agree.

It was, but it didn't.

Had a chance vs Florida and blew it.

I think if we played our best every game than you could argue this, but we came out flat way too often.

The offense that beat UGA was good enough to beat A&M and Florida for sure.

But they really only played at that level vs UGA

I think if the running game improves this year, a lot more will open up and you'll see better RZ results.
