It's purple shirts with gold helmets & pants which breaches the third rail. That combination should never be worn at home, due its long history of being associated with losing football games.

The constant bitching here about uniforms gets so fricking old.
That said, some of you are probably not going to like Lane on this. Ole Myth wore more uniform combos than at any other time in their history under him. He may not go crazy with the uniforms here, but he’s probably going to use alternates more than many of you would like.

Leave the uniform alone. Stick with our present Gold white gold. Ok for GPG for occasional game. LSU has an iconic uniform that is often voted as one of the top unis in college football. I remember when they did a Helmet vote and LSU won the best helmet in college football. All the other unis kinda suck as it takes away from our iconic brand. dstone12 is absolutely right!

I have no idea why the OP got 124 downvotes for asking this question. He tinkered with Ole Miss’s uniforms from the start. Between the navy blue, the powder blue, the red jerseys, the two different blue jerseys one with white numbers one with red numbers, the gray pants, the white pants, Lane created a dizzying number of combinations. Will he mix-and-match to the same degree at LSU? I hope not.
