The sites should say these are our top HS football players in the country, regardless of GPA or grades. If his on the field performance is stellar he should not be devalued for poor grades imo.

I suspect it’s less a matter of the recruiting sites de-rating players due to grades, and more a matter of the coaches’ boards / players’ offer sheets influencing the rating.

In other words, a player receives less attention from college coaches due to his grades, and that leads to the player being undervalued by the recruiting sites. I’m sure the feedback that the recruiting sites get from college coaches is a pretty important ingredient in their player ratings.

Yeah, he was a grades concern. Ocala Vanguard has had some of the best freshman/sophomore prospects in the nation for years now.
