Me too. He looks as good as Maason in his highlights.

Wasn't he a top 5 ranked overall player 2 years ago?

Gotta hope so! DLine sets the tone. Makes scheme solid and gives the other two levels the flexibility to excel.
Win DLine equates to more possessions and if you move the chains at all, you're wearing down the other DLine for the 4th quarter.
Lombardi football. Love it!

Hope he turns out better than this guy. Remember thinking this guy was going to be a stud DT LSU stole from out of state. Only for him to basically do nothing for 4 years

Why would you randomly pick a player from a 2013 class with none of the same attributes. Strange comparison.

This is all personal, but I would say if you’re a football recruiting site you look at their football ability. The sites should say these are our top HS football players in the country, regardless of GPA or grades. If his on the field performance is stellar he should not be devalued for poor grades imo.

I suspect it’s less a matter of the recruiting sites de-rating players due to grades, and more a matter of the coaches’ boards / players’ offer sheets influencing the rating.

In other words, a player receives less attention from college coaches due to his grades, and that leads to the player being undervalued by the recruiting sites. I’m sure the feedback that the recruiting sites get from college coaches is a pretty important ingredient in their player ratings.

In one of my defensive depth charts that I made right after the 2021 signing class, I had him second string Def End. He went way under the radar from his grades. Will be a beast sooner than later

Yeah, he was a grades concern. Ocala Vanguard has had some of the best freshman/sophomore prospects in the nation for years now. But by the time they graduate they usually go juco, jail, or just plummet down the rankings. He’s way underrated. If he can get the right mentality he’s going to make it big. If.
