Since you were a college catcher, surely you know there is more that goes into being a good defensive catcher other than pop times. Right?

I don't really care if he even hits .100. Our offense will be elite and the amount of runs given up because of our catcher position defensively last year was EXORBITANT. If he plays his awesome defense still and Neal is hitting well, I'd still expect them to at least platoon.

Both will play. Decisions could be made off of lefty/righty matchups

Time to get real, we’re not a serious program if Milazzo is the everyday catcher that’s hitting. We’re better than having automatic outs in the lineup.

Time to get real. Real dumb.

We won’t have an “everyday” catcher, as has been said multiple times in this thread alone.

I know Project's tolerance threshold isn't the best but I find myself a little annoyed about these posters, I never heard of, calling him out. Last time I looked, none of these posters have a thread that is stickied year round. If you really enjoy coming to this website to get some information than you probably should be a little more appreciative of what Project contributes.

The title of this thread is "Odds are Milazzo is going to hit .150 again. Why don't we just change it to "Odds are Milazzo is going to suck at hitting again." Yes, that is insulting one of our own players, who wears purple and gold and who has fought through numerous injuries and kept playing.

Even average LSU fans know the guy has struggled to hit. Do we have to make a thread stating that in the title?

Do you guys remember Hal Hughes? There wasn't one thread about LSU baseball that some moron would have to bring up how much the guy sucked at hitting. Everyone knew his hitting ability, yet we had to hear it over and over again. So when Project says LSU fans are the worse, that is what he is talking about.

I talk to a lot of the players, their parents and the coaches. I don't think any of them appreciate getting shite on by their own fans. These are teenagers that are giving it their all to represent LSU the best they can. There own fans should support them, not crap on them.

We all know Milazzo has struggled hitting. Do we really need to start a thread about it? Has it not been talked about enough?

He is healthier than he has been since coming here. He had a nice HR in the fall. He is older. He has another year on Jay's coaching. Lets just see what he does and how things play out. As fans, we should be really grateful for both Milazzo and Neal, lets act like it.

Not here to bash a kid. But if Neal is as good or just below him defensively and hits .300 then what say you?

Gonna need both of them. Neal is a fantastic talent but asking him to catch the bulk of the schedule as a freshman is asking an awfully lot out of him.

This keeps getting said and Gibbs did it, Ross did it, Milazzo did it 4 years ago.

I think Milazzo is gonna have to figure his bay out quick.

Because I’m not sure he’s close enough for the L/R factor to put him over the top vs lefties.

Agreed. And in the spring Neal as just been as good as Milazzo behind the plate.

Such an absolutely ridiculous statement. You have no fricking idea if he has been as good as Milazzo defensively; I doubt you even attended a scrimmage. You think if a catcher has no errors that means he was great defensively. Actually you probably do. This is when I know you’re disingenuous and are only here with the agenda to bash Milazzo with such ridiculous statements as that.

Such a phenomenally stupid statement, particularly when talking about the catcher position. And I’ll guarantee you this dipshit was bashing the hell out of Thompson and his fielding problems last year.

frick that. I’m a sunshine pumper now. This place needs a new villain and Proj’s character arc could be extremely entertaining for me.
