Observation about LSU Baseball

We don't have ANY "scare the crap out of you" hitters any more. Seems like we're full of slap-hitting speed guys.
Wasn't long ago when LSU put batter after batter at the plate that intimidated the hell out of pitchers and scared the crap out of the opposing coach.
I understand that college baseball has changed and that it has gone away from the gorilla ball of the 90s toward a more pitching-all-important, speed-based, just-get-on-base-and-make-things-happen type of game. But I'd really like to have one or two of those guys who are always at least a threat to go yard and are gonna bat .300+ year in and year out.
We should have one or two guys in the lineup that opposing pitchers just don't want to have to face in clutch situations. Bregman can be that guy, but he hasn't so far this year.
We need some scary batters!

Don't know that it's as much Javi as the type of players we recruit now.

The days of multiple scary hitters in a lineup are gone for the most part

I dont think a team that has won it all in the last 3 years of the bat changes has been close to the top of the ncaa in homers
