Game minutes? A game time minute won't pass by before somebody is bitching about something.

The closer I get to the game, the less confident I become due to BK's past 2 season openers.

Someone is going to do something bone headed. A muffed punt. A string of huge penalties. Nuss trying to throw a 50 yard straight to USC safety. Blocked field goal to win. Someone's going to drop the ball before running into the end zone show boating. Wouldn't be surprised if all of these things happen.

Depends on if we are on offense or defense first. I'm sure there's a certain group of posters ready to toss Nuss under the bus the first sign of struggle. And another group ready to fire BK the second the defense struggles.

No melt. I have this wonderful fantasy in my head where we start with the ball and after a modest run and a stuff, nuss throws a beautiful 45 yard pass to a fly route on the run, then he runs it 30 more yards for a td and everyone goes daaamn

Seconds after the coin toss. Someone will bitch about how we either should have deferred or received. You can bet your house on this one

My guess is 12 minutes into the 1st quarter.

Are new here? If we make it to the kick off without a melt I’ll be surprised.

Kickoff out of bounds

Not gonna lie, if this happens, after the way retarded teams have looked the last two years, I will irrationally over react.

A quick TD by SC and you;ll hear the usual "Nothing has changed" handwringing. T

If it’s anything like the last couple of years, there will be people bitching about us electing to receive when USC won the coin toss.

ETA: Additional candidates for first melt of the game include…
- First time we fail to convert a third down and anyone but Kaleb Jackson is at RB
- First time Major Burns celebrates after a tackle
- First time we fair catch a punt, regardless of whether it’s actually returnable (I’ll just be glad they punted)

That's about right.

LSU football is just TOO IMPORTANT and means TOO MUCH in the lives of the resident Rant Melting Clique that live and die with every play.

It's the same collection of "18 and Under" ultra geeks that still live at home with M&D, don't play any Sports at their school, don't have part-time jobs and don't have girlfriends.

Their entire existence & self-worth is based on the outcome of 12 LSU football games and that's why they immaturely freak out over it all. (Individual plays, first quarter score, second quarter score, halftime score, third quarter and fourth quarter score all count in their melt criteria)

I expect the offense to struggle early and a take a while to move the ball. That’s gonna piss us off quickly. Defense will make plays but give up big plays. By 4th we will all feel Deja vu and be tired of losing openers.

I hope I’m wrong but that’s how I feel.

I have a feeling this will remind us of Va Tech 07. There is a reason Riley wanted out of it and didn’t care that it became public.
