That's the case for nearly every team in the nation. Jesus, people, just shut the frick up

Why should anyone care about YOUR thoughts?

It's a done deal whether you or I like it. Support the team and stop this crap or just bail.

The way I see it, here are everyone's options:

1. Give him a chance to prove himself, and get behind him.

2. Don't give him a chance and believe it will force an immediate regime change. Perhaps throw in some demonstrations in large US cities.

I'm going with #1.

Coach O did better with this team than Miles, and Miles had one of the best winning records in SEC history, certainly the best at LSU. Looks to me like if LSU has a problem, it's the AD, not the coach.

A fact often overlooked...
Besides, after Les Miles, I rest my case!

Rational people realize this is an awful hire. Just terrible. We hired a guy that no other school was offering and a guy who was 3-21 on conference at his only prior permanent gig. Really bad.

I think this falls under the heading of failing to address the problem.

I hate to disagree, but failing to address the problem would have been sticking with Les Miles, who had the LSU football program in a slow and steady decline.

You may not like the hire, but Coach O clearly stated that the offense is going to change beginning next season. That's certainly a positive that most fans should be able to get behind.

Uh, well this is a message board, where people give their, uh, thoughts. If you don't want to read others' thoughts, get off a message board.

I don't think we are screwed with Coach O. He will recruit well enough that the athletes we get, we'll be at least be 8-4 every year. Is that where we want to be, of course not. But I think we will be in a position to be 11-1 or 12-0.

you are right- lsu has the talent every year- but seldom lives up to expectations. O is no different than miles- he's lucky to have the job, just like miles was lucky to get the job. when O fails, lsu is in the Toilet just like before saban was hired. most of these mama's boys dont even remember the dinardo or archer years, they think the mere name lsu will win titles- it aint that easy!! and it damn sure aint easy to rebuild in the SEC.

Ole miss gave him a chance!! Had a chance against Florida! You people are thick. Lol

But, I'm a fan of LSU first, coaching, second. I just pray that he doesn't run the program I love into the ground... I'll be here regardless.

This doesn't matter to the Mediocrity Lovers.

Like Alleva, they don't care about Championships; just don't care.

Give them them their 8-9 wins a year and they're . Too high a % of LSU Fans fit into this category. Bon Temps Roule with those 8-9 wins and third place SEC West.

Apparently, very few have memories of the Mike Archer hire. (Or don't care) He started fine in the first year and then there was a quick decline in every aspect of the program. It quickly degenerated and never recovered, then that debacle was followed by 4 years of the Hudson disaster.

Could've hired Spurrier or Shanahan to replace Arnsparger. Fast forward a few years and it's the same shite. Could've hired Fisher or Herman and we go cheap and easy!

Of course, what happened 30 years ago, doesn't mean that the scenario is going to play out now, but it's a very uncomfortable feeling all over again.

Also, very concerning and unacceptable that our esteemed AD can't "Seal a Deal" with the 2016 version of Spurrier and Shanahan.

Like OP said, LSU has got to keep Aranda and grab the best OC in the country or this will be an Archer like disaster!

You can fool some of the people some of the time. You can fool some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time..................

Bill Blichick had a chance!! He was 5-11 with Cleveland! Why would New England be so thick as to give him a chance?!?!

But in all seriousness, I'm glad that this is your attitude. You can't make coaches come to your program that don't want to be there. And after all, there's nothing we can do about it anyway!

So to me it looks like a win-win. Either Coach O succeeds (short-term win) or Coach O fails and Aranda is our next HC (long-term win).

1 game (Florida) does not equal "a chance."

Ole miss was 10 years ago!!!! Have you changed at all in the last ten years?

Curley Hallman was 25 years ago. I bet he's learned ALOT more and he has a better SEC record than Orgeron. Let's just hire Hallman back with your logic
