It is not just the drops. Most of the time he cannot get separation and get open either.

This is an uninformed comment. Most of the time, against zone coverage, the WR is not supposed to be open. He’s clearing zones for another receiver. Giles is NOT having trouble getting open. The rest of the criticism is valid. He needs to start concentrating or sit the bench. It’s embarrassing that we gave him #7.

At this point Tracy is more deserving of it than Giles

I remember Jamal Adams vehemently tweeting that you earn the number 7, it’s not given when it was announced he’d get it

I think O made a mistake here. Should've gone to someone that put in the time with the Tiger team.

Giles has to be close to losing playing time. From my observations, Jefferson and Chase are the two best receivers on the team.

Only on the rant can one take a simple statement and in 5 posts parlay that into a referendum on how Trey frickin Quinn deserved more than what he got.

Stay golden, pony boy

. Agree, but in his defense, we really didn’t have any obvious choices on O. Coulda gave it to greedy for sure though

Anderson is a stud. He’s had a few drops but if that gets squared away, he’s a man playing with boys.

Dillon and Giles are best suited to get the ball in space. Dillon runs good out routes and we know how quick he is. Giles just can’t get open right now. He made a couple big catches at Auburn but nothing that required a complex route or skill.

We flamed the kid from Lake Charles for drops.

We also didn't have a QB that had the ability to throw the ball at that time. An OC that was stunned and unable to be the OC at a major college was not much help either.

And just for an update, the kid from Lake Charles, while on IR, made a 53 man roster to play on Sunday. He's pretty good.

Agreed. Wearing #7 should not grant immunity to getting benched.

Is it too late to take away #7 from him?

Quinn was ripped constantly bc he had some drops.

True - and was not cut slack, IMHO, for *ahem* "other" reasons.

For the record, Quinn supporters were vindicated when he had a 110+ reception, 1200+ yard season at SMU and was drafted (last, but drafted) this past Spring by the Redskins.

The decision should have already been made.
He's not particularly good as a returner either.

I think this is the 1st time we've had a player that wore the #7 Jersey and he was a bust.

I always take a wait and see attitude with transfers.

You just don't know what you're getting, especially coming from a WR-friendly offense to this situation. I think he bought into his own hype and should've gone somewhere like Washington St.

Quinn would likely not be in the NFL had he stayed at LSU.

At this point he’s not even a top 5 WR
