He may not have spoken to Myles directly, just the parents. Again wild arse speculation by the rant looking for any little morsel to complain about...

They do have medical insurance through LSU athletics, you can also use your parents as supplemental…so it is odd if there was no communication with the medical staff at least

This is how I feel about it. I wonder if Brennan was trying to hide what he was doing like the team didn't want him doing it. (ahh message board conjecture)

If I'm being honest, when I first saw he injured his arm, I thought "please let it not have happened on a fishing/hunting trip, this place will crucify him"

O didn’t even interview his defensive coordinator before hiring him. What makes you think he has open communication with his QB?

I imagine there was some phone tag involved but if he got hurt doing what I’m told they may have wanted to wait till they got some medical news before freaking out the coach. Purely speculation obviously but if it was my kid I’d at least be worried about him medically and wanting to know more information before making that call.

Now it’s obvious that they talked to someone at LSU though since LSU made a comment about it on Twitter. Maybe O was busy and didn’t get that call.

If you got in an accident and went straight to the hospital for surgery, would you stop to call your coach?
Do you really think that’s what’s going on here? Posts about the injury were getting whacked here over the weekend.

One of the parents called him straightaway if I had to guess. Myles probably to distraught to tell his coach . No biggie IMO . Good luck Myles

You had to think it was something along those lines though. The knock on him has always been he's a baw who likes to hunt and fish more than football

he hired a DC without talking to him so who knows

Not true. He talked to him on the phone on FaceTime or Skype. Just not a formal in person interview. he said that during media days but people ignored it and said he didn’t speak to him at all because they enjoy those type things

Rant myths work better when you ignore the truth.

O had his life flipped on a single call. He knew he was hurt, he knew surgery was involved. Of course he loves Myles and they will speak in due time as humans. But on a football level, there really is nothing to say. He's out and not even a timeline of being healthy.
O probably recieved 200 calls per day over this.

The guy broke his arm and very likely lost his chance to start. Chances are he's not in the best place mentally and not ready to face reality by talking with his coach. He probably needs some time. If coach spoke with his parents, as stated, then I feel better about the situation. I don't think we should make too much out of this just yet.
