Nuss played like shite the whole year for LSU. I wish him the best.

The coaches take all the credit for how the Team played together. That is their job.

He was a first year starter and played like it.

Last year should have been the year he stepped up BUT Kelly played him hurt. There was NO offensive line, forcing him to run for his life. The combo of injury and no line forced them to use way too many screens and sideline plays. He wasn't able to make that step up.

I think he is a diamond in the rough. He will learn under some fine coaching at KC. He is going to be something in the NFL one day and some people here will be eating their words

He played hurt and the o-line was bad - both are true.

But I still see that pic against Ole Miss where he looked past two wide open receivers underneath to throw that pic into double coverage 25 yards downfield. That pic changed the whole complexion of the game. There are still concerns IMHO regarding his decision-making.

But I hope him the best, think he's a good dude - hope he succeeds.

so much of this was just garbage, stat-padding yards in meaningless games, either against bad teams or trying to come from behind.

Y'all denied this forever but at the end of the day, his draft stock spoke to all of his deficiencies that fans tried to cover up with BS superlatives like you tried to use here.

Let it go... move on!

Why does it even matter at this point? We are in a new chapter of LSU Football.

Allegedly, Nuss didnt put the work in behind closed doors and it showed. 5th year Senior... he could've eat, sleep, sh*t Football with the amount of free time he had. Burrow and JD5 took advantage of that.

I think this is his biggest issue. If you're having trouble with decision making as a fifth year senior and two year starter, you're always going to have trouble with decision making. It doesn't get any easier at the next level. I don't see how this is even controversial.

He had a lot of limitations.

His injury.
A piss poor offensive line.
An even more piss poor offensive scheme and terrible play selection.
Zero run game. Defenses could drop 7 or 8 because there was no threat from our rushing attack.
Not a particularly great WR corp.

Nuss has some limitations but he's better than what we saw last year.

Nussmeier entered 2025 in a position where if he could have improved in a couple of key areas (downfield accuracy, pocket comfort and awareness) he could have become a great QB.

He never got that chance due to his injury and the absolute disastrous performance of the OL.

That doesn't mean he would have certainly taken that next step. He's never been accurate downfield despite his arm strength. But, there was reason to hope.

It was a perfect storm of suck this year. The scheme sucked, the OL sucked, Nuss was injured, and WR's dropped passes.

I don’t disagree with you, but a lot of innate deficiencies are hard to correct. If there was true hope for him, he would have been drafted higher.

You can't fairly say that so definitively, IMO.

That injury itself, along with those deficenceis, is a plausible explanation for why he was drafted where he was.

There's a scenario where he can play in the NFL. He does have NFL traits. He throws with anticipation, throws guys open, and does a pretty good job of layering passes in the intermediate routes. At one point, I used to think he didn't see the middle of the field well, but that was a problem with his game that he seemed to move past.

There's just no arguing that he seems to flinch when the pressure is around...he doesn't step up into the pocket...and lacking downfield accuracy is a non-starter in the NFL.

I would have thought the workouts would have quelled concerns about his physical ability. I think some of the other concerns still remain.

Yeah those 13 TD’s and 8 INT’s in SEC play in 2024 really show how dominate he was that year

He is a quitter. If he doesn't play like shite and get benched then he plays the entire year.

Nuss is a QB from the state that people really wanted to see flourish. Not to mention he waited his turn all those years. I was on the Nuss Bus too until our season crashed and burned. The way his story ended left a bad taste in people’s mouths.
