Who? This is his 5th year and he is the obvious leader of the team.

Who is the 18 that did poorly?
I kinda get those wanting to do away with 7, but 18? Why? It's about leadership and I sure hope our QB has it in spades

If the OL can establish a rushing O or Nuss establishes even a little take off it will help the OL and the offense. Nuss is a good QB but the OL will determine how good.
The OL and superb OL Coach Sylvester couldn't run the ball at all last season WITH Will Campbell, Garrett Dellinger, Miles Frazier and Emery Jones.

How they gonna do it this season?

The Center position should be significantly improved with Moore, but that's about it.

All the cute little Pumptard Cheerleaders are hoping and praying for an OL Miracle to magically unfold once the season starts, but there hasn't been any evidence at practice that it's going to happen.

Unless Caden Durham takes a massive leap or Harlem Berry turns out to be a special RB, WE are looking at another year with a tepid running game.

The OL Coach is so bad that BK had to hire another Coach (Atkins) to come in and "Help Out" with the running game. That's totally unacceptable at this level.

This will absolutely have to be another 2019 year where Joe Sloan has to do his best Joe Brady impersonation and have Nussmeier getting the ball out of his hand very quickly. (So the OL will not have to hold their blocks too long) Get it out fast and matriculate the ball out to the bevy of WR's, TE's and RB's with speed.

But why? As a Football player most guys are superstitious about wearing a certain number for the most part.

you need to learn about LSU football history. I’m embarrassed for you right now.

Run blocking and pass blocking are two different animals. If they're not getting a push up front, ok. That doesn't mean they can't stay in front of their guys on a pass pro. Don't be all doom and gloom. We may get plenty of time in the pocket.

I would take this as a bad sign. The only person worth on this years team is our senior quarterback.

not too great of feeling

Peyton Manning also wore 18.

Nuss will make them retire 18 after this year.
Natty and Heisman coming up.

I always thought it went to the senior who had demonstrated great leadership for the team rather than individual exploits.

I hope Nuss puts up great numbers, but he certainly deserves it based on staying with the program and being a great example. Hope he tops it off with great performance.

Never liked the #13 for any position player in football. So I’m stoked Nuss is getting #18.

He threw 12 INTs last year as #13. The #18 can only make him better in that aspect.

#18 is by far the most popular number for the QB position than any other position in football. What the hell you talking about? lol
