Lol y’all grasping at straws with all the nuss worship lately. I hope he gets to play so y’all get a quick reminder as to how bad he is again and will stfu.

I’m not worshipping anyone. But if the QB competition was really as close as Kelly says, why wouldn’t Nuss get a chance? Daniels has not looked good and is what he is at this point in his career.

They always say it’s close.

No they don’t. If Kelly knew Daniels was going to be the starter and the competition wasn’t close and was still splitting reps, that’s coaching malpractice.

at this point they should both play. bring daniels in on running plays.
Great idea. Nobody will notice we only bring JD in for running plays.

I know it’s not going to happen, but genuinely curious as to others thoughts.
It's a ridiculous thought, to be honest.
Watch the OL. We have multiple plays where half the line is literally pass blocking while the other half is run blocking. MULTIPLE plays. This OL was subpar to begin, and with Campbell out and Delly going down early, it was a disaster.
If Bradford has to play tackle next week, it'll be another disaster. He isn't athletic enough to play tackle.
Fact is, subpar at best to start the year, but NO depth on this OL. The backups aren't SEC caliber.
Nuss would die.

Where can I go to look at Nuss in this year's games? I wanna see how bad he's played compared to Daniels.

No, we have 500 WR's who are better than JD. Just sit him on the bench, the light may never come on.
He should have a wildcat package. That’s it.

Let Dnaielw be a Taysom Hill type and let Nuss get the majority of snaps in a regular offense
Dude almost gets hurt scrambling every game.

I think he looked alright against New Mexico

No. I agree that Nuss should be given more game reps but I don't think the starting spot should be completely turned over to him.
This staff need to make it known CLEARLY to JD that he needs to pull the trigger OR he won't remain the starter. After watching film breakdown of the Tennessee game, JD missed quite a few open guys. He outright missed several, held the ball too long before finally throwing a few that resulted in completions that didn't gain as nearly yards as they could've, as well as missed RB's open in the flats where major gains could've been picked up.
The left side of our O-line was killed by twists and our overall run plays were typically done before the ball was snapped. Tennessee often played 7/8 in the box so running was never going to work. They left the middle of the field completely open so slants would've been back-breakers and they played off the WR all game and would've been killed with simple comeback routes.
All in all, the only thing Tennessee schemed to take away was our run game and they went all-in. They blitzed almost every time we were in 3rd down situations.

So tired of this fallacy spamming the board. Jayden is the one that holds the ball way too long and panicking under pressure. He makes the OL look worse than it is.
Nuss has shown he can process things quicker and get the ball out much faster.
Just being more mobile doesn't automatically mean you're better behind a bad OL. Give me the QB who can make quick reads and get the ball out quickly.

You are right on all accounts.

DaNiels would last about 3 carries at RB.

How u gonna compare daniels to nuss?….give nuss a week to practice with the 1s…and play with the 1s

It's no fallacy.
Watch the all 22 and there's definitely guys open JD doesn't see. I never said he was doing well. He is what he is.
But then watch the OL. It's a fact they're the worst unit on the field. Worse than special teams even.
1/2 the line run blocking, the other half pass blocking, complete whiffs, it's a joke. Watch it with a friend that knows football so you'll actually understand.
Bradford at tackle was a disaster of epic proportion, but the rest of the line is subpar too.
Maybe your husband can mansplain it to you
