I'd be fine if we skipped Nuss and went straight to Howard

People forget Nuss is a RS freshman and Daniels is a senior with an extra year to play. It makes sense for Daniels to look better especially when he’s running with the ones. Nuss is still raw

Of course, I wouldn’t expect Nuss to come out looking like a 5th year guy by any means.

That said, he does have a year under his belt and the entire off-season. What we saw Saturday showed zero development over that period. He has a big arm but either can’t read a defense or just doesn’t care about reading the defense. Especially against a team at the level of Southern, I expected a lot more.

The mistakes he made vs a team some 5A high school teams could be competitive against were inexcusable.

Hopefully JD stays healthy because Nuss isn’t ready. If JD does go down it will be interesting to see if they pull the RS off Howard.

Howard legit came in and looked more calm and collected running the offense.

I keep hearing this from Nuss fans but it is Biden level gaslighting at this point. We all see how he plays when he gets in a game...even against the shittiest team on any SEC teams schedule....Southern.

Are you basing this off of high school 7 on 7 or something?

He is what he is, and you saying he has "ALL THE TALENT IN THE WORLD" IS SOOOOOOOOOOO Comical

Showed no improvement from last year. Terrible decision making.

He has been on campus for barely over a year and you guys really expected him to beat out someone who has almost 3 years experience on him already?

This. Nuss will NEVER be the guy. All he wants to do is throw bombs all day. In Walker Howard's limited action, he looks to be our next starter.

He was an EE so he’s been on campus for almost two years. Did I expect him to win the QB battle? Probably not. Did I expect him to have developed from last season? Absolutely. If anything, he looked worse while playing against the weakest competition we’ve played in awhile.

NO, No one is saying that. I am saying when he gets into the game he looks like complete shite. Inaccurate, Very poor decision making, reckless with the ball, and does not read the defense well at all.

I expected him to look decent against Southern University and he did not....period.

I hope he gets better but I do not believe he will EVER be good enough to play in the SEC. You have your opinion and I have mine....And there is tape to back up mine.

In Nuss, I saw a guy trying his heart out. I liked that- in a game we had no chance of losing, for him to go try and learn a few more lessons.
In Howard, I was confident, in the very limited window he was given, that he can become very good.

What development did he get from Orgeron? How to tear his shirt off and rah rah? Who was his coaches? He's effectively had a few months of decent coaching and he already showed growth in the spring game. It's entirely possible he was just pressing too hard in the game because he wants to impress to win the job.

He has a great arm but coaches really want ball security in their QB

Here’s the thing-this also applies to Max Johnson. Max Johnson is a superior qb to Nuss. Nuss may have a great arm but he will never be the answer for LSU IMO.

I wasn’t a huge MJ fan, but he would have had more improvement this offseason than what I have seen from Nuss.

Howard will be the guy over Nuss and it was pretty obvious just on his limited action.

All the Nuss fanboys have zero evidence he can develop into a championship caliber qb. ZERO EVIDENCE.
