Really expected more discipline out of Nuss Saturday night. He pretty much did the same thing he did last year - didn’t take care of the ball and chunked it in the air. Hope he gets in the film room this week and gets some tough coaching. Kid has all the talent in the world but that pick 6 was inexcusable and didn’t display the growth that we would have expected to see after an offseason.

Brennan 2.0 is an odd description of Nussmeier.

No way in one off-season could he have made that large of a jump. Nus has the physical skill, but it remains to be seen if he can develop the mental skills

He has all the talent in the world based on what?
What he did in high school?

Exactly! Haynes King was a hell of a QB in HS as well. We all see how that’s working out for A&M. If there’s one position that HS stats and highlights do not matter, it’s QB. Especially Texas QBs. The numbers are extremely inflated.

You can throw "yet" out the window after that showing

We've seen all we need to see

I hope him or Walker continue to get opportunities early in the season. We’ll need another QB this year at some point if Daniels goes down.

Just amazed that people keep talking about Nussmeier as having “So much talent“. Based on what? He has shown nothing in college that would justify that description.
Apparently, he was a good high school qb. Unfortunately for him, and for all of us, that doesn’t matter anymore. Based on what we have seen at this level, I question whether he is a serviceable back up. I would hate to see a situation where we would really need him to perform. He seems likely to do more harm than good.

I don’t think he’s honestly very good and lsu would be in an absolute BIND if Daniels goes down

Yeah I dont want to pile on the kid but I agree with you. Just bad bad decisions and throws that he was making.

That pick 6 was the stuff of really bad A&M QBs.

I hope he gets ripped pretty good for that.

Needs more touch on some throws, but if he's coachable he can be something special.

Well let’s hope he doesn’t go down! Not like it’s guarantee a QB goes down.

His picks were way more Max Johnson esq except for the fact Nuss doesn’t have to worry about under throwing

Johnson threw 28 TDs last year with 6 interceptions.
Nuss in a brief appearance has 1/3 as many interceptions as Max had in 12 games last year

Yet, if ever. His performance against Southern was alarming. Absolutely zero development from last year.
