If Mateer from Washington State entered, he would be as high imo

He chooses to not be a dual threat and has bad mechanics so no coach with a brain is going to want him.

Nuss has fundamental and mechanical problems that won't get cleaned up and genuinely has atrocious decision making. I've never seen LSU fans ride a QB so hard that has such glaring issues.

We need Nuss back. The LSU history of second year starter is impressive

People keep saying this in reference to Burrow and Daniels.

But ignore the fact that, while they had some issues as first year starters, they did not make the same mental mistakes and constant turnovers that Nuss still makes as a redshirt Junior

Also, Burrow and Daniels were not scared to use their athletic ability and run when needed.

Nuss is what he is. He doesn’t have the potential for improvement that the other 2 did.

Nuss is a really good quarterback.

Well unfortunately running is pretty integral to being a good college football quarterback.

He can’t be missing any semblance of being a threat to pick up positive yards, be a statue in the pocket when rushers get to him, have inconsistent to mediocre accuracy, make poor decisions, and not be better with pre-snap recognition…and still be called a really good quarterback. There’s just too many dings and that label just doesn’t hold up

This season has objectively blown up his draft profile. Elite arm strength is one of the few prongs he can still hang on to and at the next level it’s more a nice to have than a necessity

they also had arguable the best wrs in the country. They also had very good OCs. Nuss has a first year signal caller in the sec, he has solid but not elite wrs. other than mason Taylor, who is elite that is catching the ball for Nuss?

What if Ewers doesn't go pro and Texas kicks him to the curb for Manning?

1. No he isn’t

2. Thank you for showing everyone you don’t know what an RPO offense is

Absolutely! In fact first round draft pick! Number one overall player. Hall of Fame no doubt.

Nussmeier needs a lot of work. He cannot be relied upon. It is quite plausible that one or more of his mistakes costs LSU the game Saturday.

Quick six was mental error when committed by Nuss but not for Burrow?

LOL....he had exactly 2 sacks through about 7 games until the LG was injured, and then it was a jail break up the middle on almost every play. He is FAR from a statue

.

better accuracy than Burrow his first year starting, by several points.

and not be better with pre-snap recognition

again, 2 sacks through the first 7 games, including games against very good D's in SC and OM. You can pre read all you want, but if the middle OL doesn't slow down the rush up the middle, you are toast. I've seen people saying he won't step up in the pocket.....do what? Step up into the rush....lol

LOL....he is a first year started and still would likely go in the first round or early second. JB and JD were both projected in rounds 5-7 after their first year at LSU. JD wouldn't even throw the ball down the field.

If Nuss comes back, he will be preseason AA and in the top 2 or 3 heisman favorites..

We have some really, really, really stupid fans that don't get that we have had a TERRIBLE interior line recently, no running game, and average recs...but still put it all on nuss.

well, we know you will blame nuss if the line gets blown up in the middle again and he fumbles or turns it over. It is unbelievable some of the thought process that some posters have. It is clearly not objective, and quite frankly very low intellect. Luckily for Nuss, the people that matter don't think the same way

JB & JD both had 2 first round receivers, Nuss doesn't have a first round draft reciever, yet he is on pace to have one of the top 3 passing yardage.

Nuss will be even better next year.

Exactly.

People think Nuss is the next coming of Jesus Christ when in actuality he's a mid level QB with a gigantic arm who can't hit the broad side of a barn past 30 yards, throws off his back foot constantly, has issues progressing through reads, and refuses to run. Not to mention rarely stepping into the pocket. He's had how many years now to craft fundamental qb play? One more year isn't going to "unlock" him.

LMAO. This has to be the dumbest take, by far, and it isn't even close. All those years? JB had 3 years with a great QB Coach, and still had worse stats than Nuss his first year starting. JD had started for three years already, and still was projected a 5th to 7th round QB after his first year at LSU.

But now, Nuss has no chance to improve on an already good season as a new starting SEC QB. You can't make this shite up. What's more, you actually are stupid enough to believe what you wrote. All those years? You do realize there is a big difference in gametime experience against the SEC than running backup in practice...? Please tell me you do realize that?

I'm glad people didn't give up on JB or JD after their first year starting at LSU, and don't try and spin it....they were both projected 5th to 7th round picks after their first year starting at LSU....while Nuss is still potentially projected 1st and 2nd at most. But yeah, he sucks.

The only way you can definitively say that is if you think Nuss is the best QB in the country with eligibility remaining. Is that what you think?

He may be the best passer of the football returning next year but with our offensive philosophy and a very inexperienced offensive line, im not sure he's the best fit for our team to be successful next year. And he could very well be the best pro product coming out of college next year, I can see that argument.
