Now we know why Brady recommended Peetz to O

Sean Payton fought like hell to retain Nielsen because of how valuable he is for the Saints. Meanwhile, Brady recommended Peetz to O and apparently had no issues whatsoever with him walking out the door. If Peetz was so great and had so much to offer, wouldn't Brady or Ruhle have been more eager to keep him on Panthers staff?

Potential red flag missed. This is what happens when a HC begs for advice and is too incompetent or lazy to do his own due diligence in finding quality assistant coaches. And now he is about to pay the ultimate price.

I really don’t think Brady would intentionally frick us over like that. He’s where he is because of LSU.

I thought the same thing, meanwhile the Carolina offense is rolling without Peetz.

I think he's capable of that. He didn't tell O or LSU that he was taking the job at Carolina. That doesn't sound like loyalty to me.

Apparently there is beef between him and O.

I think Peetz was a middle of the pack guy for Brady. I don't think he was being malicious, but Brady needs to keep his own career going. Letting go of a key assistant wouldn't make sense.

It's absurd to ask a guy currently employed somewhere else for a rec and then just go for it.

As if they are really putting much thought into it.

And then he also asked Aranda for his rec. He threw shade at Aranda the season before.

I get the sene that most people who have worked under Ed dislike him when the move on.

I can see Brady saying: “Who here can we give this mother fricker so he’ll stop calling us every day?” “Peetz? Fine. Tell Orgeron, and tell him to stop calling. We have things to do up here.”

Peetz and Brady probably didn’t gel. Peetz was a forced holdover from the previous coaching regime in Carolina. Makes sense that Brady wouldn’t mind him going

I was thinking this at the time. Nobody offers up their own talent just to be nice.

He can get in line. A lot of people don’t get along with O.

Hence why we are where we are. Possible O could have gotten more wiggle room had he not made so many enemies. I think O became his real self after 2019. He probably thought he could do whatever he wants because of a NC. And had he had any success at all since then, he may have been able to. But I said this after UCLA and it remains to be true:

Can’t make enemies and go mediocre. Just ask Gus and Herman.

Many are underestimating the role T-Derek has in the program. He did most of the calling of candidates. Brady was pissed that O couldn't even pickup a phone for the first 3 calls

He most likely did that to not distract the team or stress O out, since everyone knew how important he was. I don’t think that has anything to do with loyalty.
