Does anyone think Orgeron changed and doesn’t run LSU like he helped Pete Carroll run USC in the early 2000s?

If the OLOL stuff is true this will go way beyond Wade and O. Everyone will go down for that, which is probably a good thing in the long run.

Prayers and a tip of the hat today for you Dan. I respect the way you are handling your personal situation.

If they were paid through the foundation as employees of the foundation, so what?

So, Boosters contribute money to get players for LSU AND get a tax deduction? I can see where the FBI would be all over this, as well as the IRS.

I'm thinking this will come down on contributors and the foundation, not players or coaches.

Even if they asked for donations from boosters for summer interns and those interns were athletes, I still don't see the illegality there.

It's common practice for NPO to contact donors and say "hey we need this, can you make a donation for that?"

Like all these stories now, it's all speculation without any details.

Yes from LSU's standpoint.

But the institution landscape nationally might be being put on alert as well. That is speculation on my part. But if the Feds push the story from a national standpoint, it changes things everywhere. But that's a big step admittedly.

So we've learned from this thread:

The OLOL scandal is somehow tied to LSU

This may bring down the hammer of God on LSU

frick cancer

Or it may not frick LSU in the arse depending on how its handled

frick cancer

It's still to early to know anything, but speculation isn't looking good

The thing yesterday with the celebs and the test stuff the paying to get their kid advantages wasn't unknown.

What was unknown was that they (the feds) chose to do something about it.

The only reason they were doing something about it was the use of non profits to funnel the money, i.e. charities
