Watched the game live in the Assembly Center on closed circuit tv with about probably about 3000 or more LSU fans - it was awesome - watched with my Dad and brother I was a high school junior at the time.

Only time I bet on a game and I won $50.

We sent the BEAR to his grave...

That game is my 1st memory of anything LSU. I was a military brat that grew up over-seas, and we listened to it on the radio in Holy Loch Scotland. Have been an LSU fan ever since.

I was there. Last game against The Bear. Cheap seats in one end zone. Defense dominated Bama. Offense did just enough in the first half to hold on for the win.

Was a great game. I played tenor sax in GBFTL. Bear was watching Bama warm up in the endzone we lined up for pregame. Mark Jeffers (Mike the tiger) told him we were going to beat them to which Bear replied in that gravely voice, "like hell y'all are son."
The after game party at the Hilton was one for the record books.

I was living in Atlanta at the time and we had an office in Birmingham. One of the local employees got me tickets and I went to the game. One of the top two or three games I have ever attended.

I was at that game. It was the first win against them since 1970. I was stationed at Maxwell AFB at that time and decided to get a ticket and go. The one thing I remember is how the defense completely shut down Walter Lewis and Alabama’s wishbone offense. I’ve always said that every time Lewis turned around, he was facing a purple facemask!

I was there sitting behind TGBFTL. It was cold as a rats @$$. Ran out of bourbon early in the second quarter. Remember going to the bathroom at halftime and it was quieter than a graveyard. Then some coon@$$ yelled ‘how bout dem Tigahs’ and the place erupted.

Was not a TV game.

It was some type of pay per view (early version of Tigervision maybe?). It was a big deal. I watched it on Letitia Street in the garden district. There were like 20 people there. a friend of my dad’s hosted

I was there. Best regular season road trip ever. Will never forget the incessant whining from the tide (un)faithful. Lost my “The Year We Beat the Bear” T-shirt some years ago.

losing to a 4-7 Tulane team

It rained like hell that night.

I was there. I still maintain that on the winning TD for Tulane, Reggie Reginelli crawled the last 3 yds into the end zone on his hands and knees.
