Les is not a great coach. Sorry that he was lucky as shite that Bertman was a moron and hired him to coach a team equivalent to a freaking Ferrari and still has found a way to let his coaching cost LSU games despite huge advantages in talent.
LSU's talent wins games, not Les Miles. Les Miles isn't what makes LSU a recruiting juggernaut. He's a good recruiter, but LSU is what recruits itself.
Les is given every excuse when he messes up and all the credit when he wins by you and your ilk. It's unbelievable how blind you are.

Living in Arkansas I spend considerable time defending our fan base as not being as bad as our reputation. After this week I don't think the fan base is defensible anymore. Miles crapped the bed Monday, of this I agree. But to define hime by that one game is beyond rediculous. I'll be a Tiger fan for life but I frickin hate our fan base right now.

If Saban is so damn good, why did he need a mulligan to beat Miles?
You idiots need to get over yourselves with this shite.

Miles is 3 - 3 vs. "the God" at this point.
That is indeed true and very impressive but does not at all change the fact that the game this past Monday was one of the poorest coached games I have ever seen, it was even worse than Big Game Bob's dismal effort of OU vs USC back in 2004.
We may well have lost to Saban on Monday under any circumstances...we will just never know because so much was left un-attempted by Miles.

Blind? Eyes wide shut?
Miles didn't go on national TV to campaign for his team, then vote them into a game (bitchmove). Who did?
Miles coached them into the game....take the good with the bad. When we have all the info check back in with this thread....say around May. (mark it)
No one is perfect.....but I'd rather my kid have Miles than Saban as a coach...attend a college to learn, not get schooled.

Saban is a god, nice ring to that

He did it in 2007, so STFU.
Also, I give Miles credit for being a good coach, but I do not consider him great or a top 15 coach. Sorry, I don't buy it. Guy has one of the highest paid staffs in the history of college football and continues to make the same mistakes.
We are stuck with Miles, and most of us have accepted that, but we don't simply start acting delusional and calling him a great coach that continually outcoaches other top coaches. Nutt didn't outcoach anyone but Miles. It was pathetic how badly he did so too when the talent at his schools was half as good as Miles had in those years.
He's 2-3 versus Saban when the teams are anywhere close to even. I am sorry I don't count a rebuilding Bama team versus a loaded LSU team in the equation.
Saban's rebuilt Bama in 5 years and now has 2 undefeated regular seasons, and 2 NCs in that time span. Less has 1 season with less than 2 losses, no undefeated seasons, and 1 NC (with 2 losses at that) after taking over juggernaut.
Les is nowhere near Saban in coaching and I hate Saban with all my being. I am just not delusional enough in anyway to say Miles is close to him as a coach. He's a worse recruiter, worse on his "side of the ball" as a coach, and is no better at hiring coaches.
What does Les do better than Saban? Please tell me?

on.
Then why count the games when LSU was rebuilding and Bama was loaded? Bama had far superior teams in 08 and 09, and they really weren't that bad in 07, so that makes no sense.
I guarentee you'll change you stance on Miles if Mett is what we expect him to be next year.
ETA: No one said Miles is a better coach than Saban

Don't worry about that moron, cap. If lsufan52 truly believes that miles is the "worst coach ever" then it is not worth arguing with an idiot like that because he obviously isn't an LSU fan or has any idea about lsu history.

Definitely.
The same moron lsufan52 is herp derping it up in the thread that talks about blocking out the noise and congratulating the team on a good season. Dude is terrible.

well he had some outlier/unlucky plays on 11/5/11 and took us to overtime
why did we need OT when his FG kicker missed so many FGs?
and we were ABSOLUTELY DOMINATED on 1/9/12. saban left no doubt which team was better
His point is a good one. You are trying to justify your stance which is an extreme overreaction.
Miles is a good coach. He and his team did a poor job in the NC game. He and his team deserve criticism for that. Taking it any further is ignoring all other events leading up to the game.
People who can only think in absolutes one way or another lack intelligence IMO.
