Notes from a speech/QandA Scott Woodward gave

-Joe Burrow asked for Neck to be played at the AM game, and Scott said yes because he thinks suppression of that kind of thing leads to more chants; the Band punted at the idea
- He discussed bringing in sound engineers looking into the sound system at Tiger Stadium; trying to find the right placement etc
-He said there are provisional designs for a Basketball operations with a practice court and offices that connects to the PMAC
- Discussed keeping drug issues in house rather than reaming a guy for a mistake
-Commented on Mainieri’s comment about doing better than O. He said “hold him to that.”
-Also said he thinks we will have a really good year due to a healthy staff etc
I’ll add more if I think of anything
More notes:
-Talked about lower level assistants being up to O; where Woody comes in is looking at the budget and having a discussion about where the money comes from etc
-Talked about a surprise in scheduling in the coming weeks
-Talked about the ESPN/CBS deal (I forget exactly) but said it would be very lucrative for LSU and the SEC. Also said it will lead to more NIGHT games then day
-Said he could not discuss it further because they are prospective students but he thinks we will have a good signing day
-Plans to give individual ticket purchases the option of lower bowl tickets for the TEXAS game because of what they did to us

Someone should tell the band they’re in the stadium to entertain and hype the players.
We don’t want to hear them play flight of the bumblebee. If the team and the fans want neck. You play neck, especially when the AD ok’s it.

Didn’t we get a practice facility 10 years ago? I’m all about an updated facility but can we please renovate the seating and concourse first?

Agreed. Give Will Wade what he wants and watch the basketball program make runs in the NCAA tourney yearly. And deep runs at that

Damon Talley MUST go. HE is in charge. HE is the problem. I would not be surprised if Todd Queen was involved in this as well (it makes sense that Talley would run to his dean for cover). Making bad decisions is part of their DNA.

Almost all of the money coming into LSU is from the football team. If the football team wants you to play neck, you play neck. Know your role, nerds...
